This should help you both (taken from the Aramaic Bible in Plain English I think but this gal calls it the HRV; she is responding to some questions about Jesus being YHWH):For comparison, in the Old Testament, Isa. 45:21-23 (KJV) says, “who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD (YHWH)? and there is NO GOD ELSE BESIDE ME; A JUST GOD AND…[Read more]

Jeremy check out these verses. I think that they are from the same Aramaic Bible in Plain English, some gal is responding to a question about Jesus being YHWH, see the link below:For comparison, in the Old Testament, Isa. 45:21-23 (KJV) says, “who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD (YHWH)? and there is NO GOD ELSE BESIDE ME; A JUST…[Read more]

Mike,Jesus is the Lord of lords, not a Lord of lords. There lies a big difference between a man who has authority and is a lord, or even a lord over other lords and Jesus as the Lord of lords. The Lord of lords is under the authority of the Father who is the God of gods. The Father is not called the Lord of lords, Jehovah is called Lord of lords…[Read more]

Pierre,Do you mean 'is' when you write 'his?' If so, can you rewrite your comment with 'is' instead of 'his?' Thanks!

Hey Jeremy,You might be interested in the Aramaic Bible in Plain English. This translation was from Aramaic manuscripts, not Greek. The disciples spoke Aramaic and wrote in Aramaic. This translation has 'Jehovah' in the NT all over the place and clearly shows that Jesus is referred to as Jehovah. You can find this Bible translation on this…[Read more]

Pierre,You will have to find someone else to play 20 questions with. I'm way too busy for child's play.Take care!

Pierre,You say that God almighty is Lord of lords and you say that Christ is Lord of lords…well, either they are the same person or God almighty is not the Lord of lords anymore. You seem to believe that God almighty is not the Lord of lords anymore but Christ is given that place instead. That is called 'Pierre is believing a delusion.'

And sometimes questions don't make any sense and are totally non-applicable Pierre. Do you want to try again? Or are you afraid of really having your bubbles broken with scripture?

Is that all you have Pierre? A nonsensical answer to my question?

Mike,Read the difference if the comma is removed:John 1:18 NIV18 No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.John 1:18 NIV18 No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.

John 1:1 calls the Word 'theos' who is with the theos and so it is very likely that only 17 verses later, 'theos' is the intended word who is in the bosom of the Father, not to mention that it is in the earliest manuscripts.

Mike,Quote They must avoid this part of the word “monogenes”, because they, being Trinitarians, don't like the implication that their God#2 was “begotten”. The Trinitarian creeds mention that the Son was 'begotten before the ages' so I don't think what you said is a true reflection of the Trinitarians. You really don't have a grasp on what that…[Read more]

t8,I'm not saying the Father and Son are are one being. They are two. Also, their original nature establishes the Father and the Son as divine and deity. Pierre,Do you want a scripture that proves that Jehovah is still both God of gods and Lord of lords? You don't believe that Jehovah is still both, is that right?
Lightenup replied to the topic Delusions in the forum Truth or Tradition 13 years, 11 months ago
Thanks Pierre for confirming that you believe the delusion that Jehovah is no longer the Lord of lords in the NT.The truth is that Jehovah is still the God of gods and the Lord of lords and that Jesus is that Lord of lords. As a babe in a manger, He was Lord. He didn't become Lord when He became the King of the throne of David…He was Lord when…[Read more]
