    2) Hear, O Israel; Yahweh our Elohim is ONE.Btw, Elohim is a plural word so no need to add an s to it.YHWH is called 'him' and not 'them' because it is the name of a unity in that case. The church is called a 'she' and not a them for the same reason although it too has more than one member.Yahweh our Elohim is ONE…one what? It doesn't say one…[Read more]

Scripture does honor Jesus as God, not God the Father though. Thomas called Him “the Lord of me and the God of me,” for starters.

Mike, you asked:Quote Also, do you acknowledge that you can't make a SOLID claim of “God-worship” to Jesus just from the Greek word “proskuneo”, and that any claims of such from you or others is only wishful thinking that can't possibly be proved from scripture? No, not just from the word but yes from the word and the context. Can you prove that the…[Read more]

Quote (Colter @ Oct. 18 2012,06:16)Jesus was both human and divine, he was a miraculous person. Maybe we should have faith and stop trying to figure out something that the finite, time and space bound mind of man cannot understand. t8,I hope you tip those baristas well. What makes a mocha 'trim?' My guess is that 'trim' would be like me ordering my coffee 'black,' i.e. without cream or sugar. What exactly does 'mocha' mean to you? Is that coffee with a chocolate flavor in it?

t8,That is interesting about what happened right at the equator. I checked the swirl in the toilet just before I posted that and that toilet definitely swirled clockwise at my house. So, just now, I check two of the other four toilets in the house and all three that I checked are different. The second one is the most powerful and the water…[Read more]

Bo,I believe the highest authority is God also and I believe that the Father and Son are together, through their Spirit, this highest, perfectly united authority called 'God.'The word 'God' is also a type of person/being that has a specific original, eternal nature with certain attributes. The example of President/Vice President would not fit here…[Read more]

t8,Isn't the qualification of opening the scroll to actually be the one who was slain? Was the Father qualified to open the scroll, no…the Father was not slain. This does not make Him less God, or less powerful.

t8,I don't get the impression that anyone is missing out on who wrote the scroll. The point that I am making is that the Father cannot also be the Lamb as Dennison teaches and the fact that the Lamb is only qualified to open the scroll and not the Father demonstrates that they are not the same person.

Good answer jammin' :;): The two are one, that's what Jesus said.John 10:30″I and the Father are one.”

So, in the Southern Hemisphere you have clockwise and anticlockwise but “anticlockwise” is not the equivalent to “counterclockwise?” ??? Just for fun, Stu, tell me what direction the toilet water swirls as it is flushed down the toilet drain in NZ. It is clockwise at my house.

So, you are saying that there are two beings who are both named the one YHWH? Or are you saying that one YHWH rained down fire and brimstone from the one YHWH in heaven?Btw, if my answer is pathetic and I chose the same option as you, what does that make your answer?

  • Profile picture of Lightenup

I have no objections to that.

But how many different beings are called YHWH in that verse, t8?Your examples don't apply here.
