@GeneBalthrop and all,
Hi Gene, you asked a good and popular question, one that we must seek to know the answer to, imo.
you said:
Jesus said to GOD THE FATHER that HE WAS THE “ONLY” “TRUE” GOD. What should these words mean to us all?
Knowing who God the Father is would be important in answering this question.
So, who is God the Father?
a. Is…[Read more]Lightenup replied to the topic Addiction in the forum Prayer & Advice 9 years, 10 months ago

You have probably realized it by now, but your post that you addressed to me was meant for @Grasshopper. I’m glad that your son was given the victory!I have 5 children and today my youngest turned 18 so, in a sense my husband and I have “graduated” to another chapter…no more young children! The LORD has richly blessed us and has…[Read more]

That scripture is not at all implying that one of them sins more than the other. Rather, the scripture is basically saying that even though BOTH were sinners, the one who had MORE love in their heart received more forgiveness BECAUSE of that love. The one who had the lesser amount of love received the lesser amount of…[Read more]

Also Gene’s view that there is no free will. He tried hard to convince us that we do not have the ability to freely choose among allowed options. So why is he telling us this? To convince us that he is right? And would that not require us to choose to believe that he is right? lol. Too funny. He is relying on our ability to choose…[Read more]

Is this your testimony
1 Corinthians 15:47The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

Hi Gene,
Both the first and the second Adam were without sin from the get go. The first Adam gave place to sin, Jesus never did. Therefore, Jesus could be the perfect human sacrifice to redeem mankind.

Hi Gene, I agree that a group of human created gods would be false and not part of a God head. However, maybe you remember that I believe that Jesus was not created but always existed within the Father before the cosmos was created. The Father possessed Him at the beginning of His (the Father’s) way. He has always been around. What…[Read more]

We know that there is one God the Father. He is the true God.
But we also acknowledge that theos/elohim are used to describe others including idols, men, angels, Satan, and Jesus. Believe it or not, even an earthquake is described as elohim. This is reality. You can read these other theos/elohim examples in scripture for yourself. @GeneBalthrop,…[Read more]

T8…….Jesus is said to be the SECOND Adam , Seeing some say, He Created Adam. Did he create himself, as another ADAM also?, If ALL things were created BY him and For him , then that would also have to include the second Adam also, after all, ALL means ALL, right? I am not saying you believe that , because I don’t think you do, b…
T8……..why would a small god, be morphed into a human body and pass himself as a man in the first place, it was not a morphed perfect little God that sin came into the world by, it was a man a pure flesh and blood man, and scripture say it is by man sins must be paid for, not by a morphed human.
First of all what you are failling to see ,…[Read more]

T8…… If you say while we may reach the fullness of Christ and the say CHRIST reached the fullness of God , you are incorrect, there is no scripture that I recall that say’s christ Jesus reached the fullness of God. While God did dwell IN HIM, that in no way is saying the he (Jesus) ever reached to the FULLNESS of GOD. In fact Jesus…
T8……..The difference is the word God does not describe a person, it describes a relationship to something. I have posted before what the original Hebrew word for God meant. It was a pictoral drawing of a ox head, with a staff leaning toward it, this ox head was their symbol for strength or power, the staff represent the support they trusted…[Read more]
