    Mike,

There is no evidence that Thomas said anything beyond that he would not believe until he touched Jesus' scars.  Touching those marks is certain.

So the marks WERE THERE on Jesus' resurrected body?

Isn't that what we were arguing about in the first place?   ???

    Mike,

Scars are marks.  I see no evidence for actual holes.

Some seem to interpret even the words that sound to me as if they are speaking of open wounds  as being only scars.  Perhaps they know something I do not.

So then your understanding is that Jesus was resurrected in a new, glorious, spiritual body that still had the wounds from his crucifixion?

Are you saying this scarred up body is the glorious resurrected body in which Jesus will eternally dwell?

    Mike,

Why not. I have seen the bodies God has chosen to give to some of his creatures and those marks of honor on Jesus' flesh are nothing.

    Well then, we disagree.

Nor could I imagine Paul, who already had a flesh body, eagerly awaiting the transformation of his “lowly” body into a glorious new body like the one Jesus now has, if that glorious new body is more messed up than the one he started life on earth with. (Phil 3:20-21)

Why would Paul eagerly await a transformation from “lowly body” to “glorious body” when they are, in essence, the same exact kind of body? ???

    Kerwin.

    Explain this:

John 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

John 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

    Wakeup,

It was the result of Adam's sin but that was not Jesus' point.

Satan struck the man with blindness for his reasons
God allowed Satan to do so for his reasons.

Jesus told us one reason, which was the dominate reason at that time.

    Jesus removes Satan's physical opression.

Another was of saying all that is that God gave the man as he desired and then later changed it accordance to his desire.

I am not seeing even an immortal scared body as more messed up than a mortal body that is perfect in every other way.

So you believe Jesus will exist for eternity in a flesh body with scars and possibly even holes? But he won't have to worry about bleeding from those wounds, because he has been changed from “flesh and blood” to “flesh and bone“?

Okay. You have the right to believe what you want – no matter how far our eyes roll back in our heads.

Kerwin, you have all but lost any credibility on this site that you might have formerly had. It is so easy for all of us to tell that you say asinine things that you KNOW are asinine – just to keep your own preconceived notions about Jesus alive.

    Someday you'll know the truth.

    K

you know, the simple thing of it all is that men in any condition of his own physical condition, no matter how he looks or his handicap his ,the only thing God ask ,his to recognize him as your God ,in this life so that we can receive the next life ,but the complexity in this life with men, becomes also a corner stone to most

    Wakeup,

My answer is correct you just don't know these things from the Scripture you have heard.

Would the man have been born blind if Adam had not sinned?
Did Adam's sin bind this world to corruption?

    Read Luke 13:16, 1 Corinthians 15:38.

    Mike,

Scars are marks.  I see no evidence for actual holes.

Just personal opinion, not worth a penny.

    wakeup.

    Wakeup,

I asked a question and pointed out by inference that God gives some ugly bodies to certain of his creations.

    Kerwin.

    Explain this:

John 9:1   And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

John 9:2   And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

John 9:3   Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

    wakeup.

    Wakeup,

It was the result of Adam's sin but that was not Jesus' point.

Satan struck the man with blindness for his reasons
God allowed Satan to do so for his reasons.

Jesus told us one reason, which was the dominate reason at that time.

    Jesus removes Satan's physical oppression.

Another was of saying all that is that God gave the man as he desired and then later changed it accordance to his desire.

    Kerwin.

John 9:3   Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents:
***but that the works of God should be made manifest in
          him***.??

    wakeup.

    Wakeup,

I did not say that neither the man nor his parents were being punished for their sins by God by allowing Satan to blind him, even though they had sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  Satan was allowed to blind him for other reasons, of which Jesus named the prime one.

    Kerwin.

    Your answer is not correct.
You still need to be on the breast.

    wakeup.

    Wakeup,

My answer is correct you just don't know these things from the Scripture you have heard.

Would the man have been born blind if Adam had not sinned?
Did Adam's sin bind this world to corruption?

    Read Luke 13:16, 1 Corinthians 15:38.

    Kerwin.

That is still not the true answer.
And Terra has no clue what the question is all about.

    wakeup.

    Wakeup,

So you say but I see you did not answer the questions I asked.   That gives me the idea you also not read the passages I directed you to nor meditated on them.

    Kerwin.

God will be glorified when the imperfect is made perfect.
When the deserts are turned into green pastures.
When the sick are healed, when spears are turned into pruning hooks, and the swords into ploughshares.
When the flesh turned into spirit.

    wakeup.
