You may not truly believe what JESUS “CLEARLY” SAID, WHEN HE SAID, THE WORDS HE WAS SPEAKING TO US “ARE” LIFE “AND” “ARE” SPIRIT.
His words are Spiritual and obeying them leads to eternal life. They are understood to those that are guided by the Spirit of God, which is to say Spiritual, even before they obtain it in its role of Teacher. The are spoken by the One, whom is like God it true righteousness and holiness and therefore Spiritual.
If you believe Jesus is the Anointed of God then you would know this even if it was not written in Scripture.

KERWIN LOOK UP THE WORD “ARE” AND SEE WHAT YOU COME UP WITH, AND THEN APPLY THAT TO WHAT JESUS SAID.
It is a form of the word “be” and in this case, like others in the Writings, it is used to describe the qualities of Jesus’ words. You are using the same definition but you are going outside of what he meant by basing your conclusions on a false premise.
They are simple words that are self explanatory to those that are more mature in Christ. Even those that are but neonates in Christ understand then when they hear that his words are Spiritual and obeying them gives you the gift of eternal life. I think that you also know that if you can clear your head of Satan’s cobwebs.

We need to learn from Jesus about the Spirit of Truth from the Father. Note that Jesus never speaks of another Spirit as the Spirit is one. Instead another Counsellor or Helper is spoken of.
The role is that of conviction of the world about sin, righteousness and judgement.[jn16]The Helper also testifies about Jesus[jn15]. The Helper also is the Teacher that guides us into all truth[jn n16], that also reminds us of what Jesus has said.[Jn14]. We may be aware of the work of God in this way with us.
Again in Mt 10 20 we are told that the Spirit of the Father will speak through us when we are brought before authorities to testify.
The rest of the time we see the Spirit speaking through Jesus it is the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of the Son, the Word, the Spirit that serves God.
