    Hi,

The Spirit of Christ is a portion of the Spirit that was given to Jesus Christ.

Where do you come up with that ???

    Hi Nick,

Will you please answer my question

    Hi Ed,

    Gal 4.6

Because you are sons God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying

    Abba! Father!

    Rom 8.13

For you have not received a spirit of slavery, but you received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out

    Abba! Father!

The Spirit of the Son is the Spirit of anointing.

    Hi Nick,

    Neither of those verses say:

The Spirit of Christ was given to Jesus Christ

Neither of those verses say what you claim – Do you have any that do?

    Hi Ed,

The problem is with you thinking there are more than one Spirit.

Was Jesus of Nazareth anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power?

    Rom 8.3

..He condemned sin in the flesh so that the requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us,

who do not walk according to the flesh but according to THE SPIRIT. For those who are according to the flesh

set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to THE SPIRIT, the things of THE SPIRIT.

For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on THE SPIRIT is life and peace, because the mind set on the

flesh is hostile towards God, for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who

are in the flesh cannot please God.

However, you are not in the flesh but in THE SPIRIT, if need THE SPIRIT OF GOD dwells in you.

But if anyone does not have the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, he does not belong to him.

This is all about the one Holy Spirit working through minds submitted to God.

    Hi,

    Acts 3.19

Therefore repent and return , so that your sins may be wiped away,

    in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;

and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, whom heaven must receive

until the period of restoration of all things which God spoke by the mouth of the Holy Prophets from ancient time.

So till the return of Jesus as King at the time of the millennium the Lord Jesus comes as the Spirit.

    Hi Ed,

The problem is with you thinking there are more than one Spirit.

However, you are not in the flesh but in THE SPIRIT, if need (1)THE SPIRIT OF GOD dwells in you.

But if anyone does not have (2)the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, he does not belong to him.

    Why deny scripture Nick?

The verse you quoted (in the above quote) speaks out against the very thing you claim

    (1)THE SPIRIT OF GOD
    (2)the SPIRIT OF CHRIST

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me,
he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and
WE will come unto him, and make OUR abode with him. (John 14:23)

    Hi Ed,

then in the verse quoted from Rom 8 there are 5 other references to THE SPIRIT.

Since you think there are two then which Spirit does each refer to?

Edj…..THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST “is” the Spirit JESUS was anointed with, that is the spirit of God, the spirit of God and the spirit of christ are the same single spirit. Gods word is the spirit of God it is one and the same, ONE GOD IN ALL AND THROUGH ALL. Remenber when Jesus the man said, “the words he was telling us were “NOT HIS”, IT was t h e Father speaking “through” him by the Fathers spirit which is the word of God. The same spirit Jesus recieved at the Jordan River when John baptized him. The we, is God the Father and his spirit. ” IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD AND THE WORD WAS “WITH” GOD AND WAS GOD. YOU CAN SPEAK OF THE WORD OF GOD AS BEING DIFFERENT FROM GOD, AS TRINITARIANS DO, BUT GOD AND HIS WORD ARE ONE AND THE SAME, THE SAME AS YOUR WORDS AND YOU ARE THE SAME, NO MATTER WHOSE MOUTH THEY COME FROM. The person you are are represented by your words. You and your words are one, that is why we will be judged by our words, because they are us, unless we are quoting some one else.

Peace and love to you and yours. …….gene

    Hi Ed,

While you are on Romans 8 there are quite a few other references to THE Spirit there that you will need to clarify for us.

    Hi Nick,

    (1)THE SPIRIT OF GOD
    (2)the SPIRIT OF CHRIST

Let’s use your logic here for a minute Ok?
You claim that since they are both in the
same sentence they mean the same thing.
That is faulty logic. Take this verse:

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for (1)the witness of Jesus, and for (2)the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
    Rev 20:4 (AKJV Bible)

    the witness of Jesus
    …..and for
    the word of God

Are these two the same thing? Obviously No!

You do believe in the unity of Father and Son in the One Spirit?

Or have I got it wrong again?

    Hi Ed,

It is only because of your reliance on human wisdom that you came to the idea there is more than one Spirit.

God’s wisdom is greater. You should not add to what is written.

    Hi Nick,

I believe in the unity of Father and Son that they are “One” in Spirit

    We and our John 14:23

    Two spirits in unity.
    Our spirit joins with
    them in the same unity
