Quote John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: b]the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.[/b] Quote 2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. Quote 1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

MartyJn 6:62 What if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
Jn 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.
Jn 6:64 Yet there are some of you who do not believewhich part of those verses you do not believe ,you are not alone even Jesus says about some that are present when he said those words ,
i really wander if you understand those scriptures ,because Jesus only means that to be saved ;the flesh counts for nothing ” so it is not in a physical direct way to understand that our flesh counts for nothing ,because without our flesh we would not be able to serve in deeds our God and his son ,
Hi Pierre:I understand what he said, do you? Read what I said to Mike about this in another thread.

Martymy question to you is simple ;assume we both standing and listen to Jesus speaking as his disciples (not as the other folks)
and he says ; Jn 6:38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
what would you and i understand ;
June 2, 2014 at 3:14 am#386273942767ParticipantHi Pierre:
The disciples did not understand what he was saying until he explained to them what he meant, and so, if I was standing there listening to his saying this, I would have to wait for him to explain what he meant, and I was not there, but I have read what he stated as he explained what he meant, and I have explained what he meant to you and supported what I have stated with scripture.

Martyall what Christ said did not need to be explained to them ,only parables ,and some other things what did not make sens to them ;as Jews ;
but you rather want and look for an explanation all of the time .
so it is not the understanding that is in question but the willing of believing as it is written ;that is the question .
and their it is of no one to interfere ;it is between you and God and his son ;
Jn 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
June 2, 2014 at 3:40 am#386286942767ParticipantThis is what the scriptures state:
Quote John 6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
And so, I am condemned because I do not accept what you are saying as the truth?
I believe the scriptures, and they must be line upon line and precept upon precept, and it is God will determine whether or not I have believed and whether or not I am condemned.

MartyJn 6:56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
Jn 6:57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
Jn 6:58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.”this was the verses that you mention that end up to respond from the apostles the following words you are quoting ;
but not the ones that I quoted to you about Christ saying in John 6;38
June 2, 2014 at 8:50 pm#386396942767ParticipantAnd so, how do you say that he came down from heaven? I have told you what the scriptures state and that is that his body was conceived by the Holy Ghost in the womb of the virgin Mary, and he was born into this world a manchild. The Holy Ghost is the Father's Spirit and Jesus calls God his Father, and the Father's throne is in heaven. His spirit was formed by the Word of God as he obeyed it without sin unto death on the cross. It was the Father dwelling in him by His Spirit whom he was obeying, and the Father came down from heaven and spoke to humanity through him. This what and how the scriptures state that he came down from heaven.
Now unless you can show me that he came down from heaven in some other way by the scriptures, you can forget about trying to tell me that I am wrong.
That the Father sent him is speaking about the Father sending him into the world as his Christ, as he states here in John 17.
This is what he said:
Quote 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

Wrong, I have not ignored them, but I have already told you that the said he gave his flesh for the world, and then he qualified this by saying that it was the Word of God that he was speaking, is what was spirit and was life. The life that he lived in his earthly body while here on earthThe bread of life is the Word of God that came forth from the Father through him, in his ministry here on earth and that he obeyed unto death of the cross, and it is this same Word of God that will give us who are born again, and obey his commandments life.
I don't know how to make it any clearer to you. I have already stated this several times before.
