It seems that Jodi got it in for me, because my name comes up at least once in a couple of days. I am always a Pagan Worshipper. One of these days you, Jodi will have to eat these words. Unfortunately I know what a Pagan is, I have been there, I come out of the Catholic Church. So you Jodi can not tell me about the trinity doctrine. That is why I also know now that I have come out of Her. I followed Jesus advice. The Catholic Church has not invented Satan. That Satan did himself. The Church just followed him. There is a difference.

Which scripture do you prefer Nick,The one that says to be an adversary is to have in mind the things of MEN, or the one where Jesus says that SIN COMES from within man himself?

We do not follow the craftiness of supernatural beings, it is our OWN craftiness that has come forth due to our selfish ways in following after our flesh.
The spirit of this world is the spirit in man, the crafty intellect that invents evil ways to serve it’s flesh.

What is the spirit that works in the sons of disobedience, well verse 3 clearly tells us, it is the mind that conducts itself under serving the flesh.
Php 3:19whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame–who set their mind on earthly things.
Irene, it does not take a supernatural being to cause us to set our minds on earthly things.
James 3:14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
Evil does not come from supernatural creatures outside of our creation, it comes from humans who are SELF SEEKING in THEIR hearts, conducting their spirit to follow after their flesh. The wisdom of this world is EARTHLY, SENSUAL/PHYSICAL.
Mt 4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

Irene, do you think that after 40 days without food, that your flesh might be tempted too??
The bible is VERY SPECIFIC telling us that sin comes from FOLLOWING OUR OWN DESIRES of which our flesh draws us in to serve, and that SIN LEADS to DEATH.
Jesus in the wilderness did not deny some supernatural being, HE DENYED HIS FLESH. Jesus destroyed that which had the power of death, the devil. We are directly told that man’s sins lead to death, and that man sins are due to allowing the flesh to tempt. This clearly exposes WHO the slanderer is.
Through the weakness of our flesh, our spirit tries to tell us that the way to LIFE is through serving our flesh, thus creating a HUGE LIE against God, because God is the only way to life.
Sin holds the power of death

Greed is an evil spirit of the flesh, created by man and dispersed throughout the world, going out in many forms. Greed entered Judas and caused him to deny Jesus, and this is why Jesus called him a devil. Going after his flesh, Judas profited nothing! To go after the flesh is to be a devil!
Mr 8:33 But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.“
To be Satan, to be an adversary, is not to follow a supernatural being, but to have a mind in the things of men.
Php 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,
Col 2:11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,
Circumcision is cutting OFF the FLESH. God’s Spirit working in Jesus worked to cut his mind OFF of his FLESH. We do not need to cut our minds off of the influence of a supernatural beings, we need to cut our minds away from our flesh.
Ro 7:5For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.
Once again, the power of death, the devil, is the spirit in man that follows after the flesh.

There is NO TRUTH, to say that the devil is a supernatural being. JUST LOOK at what the SCRIPTURES SPECIFICALLY SAY, for crying out loud, come OUT of the Whore.

What is the obvious identity of the devil? What holds the power of death? The mind that lives according to the flesh!!

The problem with the world is not influencing fallen angels, but man’s carnal mind.
This is what I just don’t get from MANY of you people. The bible repeatedly shows our flesh to be an adversary to us, that our born nature is at enmity with our mind, however not ONE time is there talk of our enemy being some ‘fallen’ supernatural being who wants to be God, so WHY OH WHY, would anyone equivocate the adversary or slanderer to be anything other then what the scriptures clearly show, the mind of man that follows his flesh?
And why pick me out of the Brethren? Am I the only one that believes that there is a devil called Satan who is the God of this world? I do not think so. I have plenty of company. I and Georg teach others to believe in a false God, you are mistaken my friend. First of all I twist nobody wrist to believe what I do. And second of all, I believe in a God who is the creator of all mankind including you and I. So you are the accuser of the Brethren here and I find you guilty of accusing me and Georg for one.
James 3:14 tells you that it takes a demonic mind to think evil, and where does that demonic mind come from? We know that the Holy Spirit is of God the Almighty. But what about that demonic mind and every evil thing, like the snake in Paradise. It was the first being to deceived mankind. Evil Eve takes shape. Then they hide because they are naked, they did not realize that before. From that point on mankind has gone down hill.
When a baby is born, is it evil? It might surprise you if I say, yes. Why would I say so? I guess you know.
But there are some that say these Babies are pure in spirit. What does Jodi think?
Evil begets Evil. Good begets good. Where does good come from? God. Where does evil come from? The mind of man? Sorry Jodi that makes no sense. Man was not evil until the snake deceived Eve. Just like the Holy Spirit grows in us, so does the evil spirit grows too. Turn on the T.V. all evil present. We are in the times like Sodom and Gomorrah. Jesus is very much aware of Satan. Are you going to believe Him?

Indeed satan aims his works superficially at elevating the things of men to get their attention and support. But his real aim is to use men in his frustrated rage against God.He knows his own fate and wants to take as many men with him as possible.
The serpent's brood is resident in men as lusts to be kindled by sin unto a fire of destruction.
Nick……you use so may words that are not even found scripture and try to make them fit you false understanding of Scripture, Your teaching of the doctrines about devils and Satan and demons are completely false assumptions and you have no proof of any. You need to come out of that false teaching of the Harlot Church so you can get rid of you confusions you have. you or no one else Here has ever seen a devil or Satan, or demon beings ever. All the evil in the world functions in man and not some (Mysterious) devil or Satan. Any man who is an adversary to GOD is a SATAN. Even Peter was once. Come out of that false teaching and you will be able to think sounder. Go reread and think about what Jodi and I have both said and even 942767 understands it's the evil in men , not some mysterious being going around jumping in and out of people.

MAN devises evil in HIS HEART, and it leads to such things as slander and the speaking of lies. MAN is the adversary because in his heart he’d rather serve his flesh then serve God.
I really don’t see how anyone can just write off these scriptures? God made our flesh weak, we must acquire things in order to live, like food, shelter, clothes. Bring on famine and everybody hordes their food, becoming greedy and not wanting to share what they have. Some of the Israelites in the wilderness did not follow the manna laws, they tried to save their manna when they were not suppose to, and they set out on the Sabbath to gather manna when they were not suppose to. Why did they disobey God?? Oh, because some celestial beings came down whispered in their ears and told them to? NO. Their fear for survival, which was a natural mechanism that God gave to all mammals, and their fleshly need for food, drew them away from God’s commandment.
Ps 64:6They plot injustice and say, “We have devised a perfect plan!” Surely the mind and heart of man are cunning.
Psalms 140:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men; Preserve me from violent men, 2 Who plan evil things in their hearts; They continually gather together for war. 3 They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; The poison of asps is under their lips. Selah
No mention of supernatural beings, just evil from man’s heart.

Not a supernatural being causing men to sin against God and become proud, THINGS OF THE EARTH, OF THIS WORLD, such as possessions (herds, gold) of which the FLESH LOVES, lead to sin.

MAN IS PUFFED UP AND VEIN BECAUSE OF HIS FLESHLY MIND!
It seems we have a warning not to worship angels, of course fearing fallen angels is a form of worship.

If someone wants to show me how THESE scriptures do not show that the influence to sin comes solely from our mind, due to our weak flesh, I'd really like to hear it.
It's always ABOUT THE FLESH AND THE MIND. Not even one sound scripture exists that talks about supernatural beings influencing us to do evil. Sure we have the text that say to watch out for or don't be a devil or a satan, but those are WORDS that mean adversary and slanderer, not supernatural slanderer, or supernatural adversary. They are certainly not some formal proper name for an individual. We see repeatedly that MAN following his flesh creates from HIS OWN HEART DECEIT AND SLANDER, and that man from his own mind becomes an adversary to himself and to others when he commits adultery or is greedy or murders..etc..We also see from the OT, that man puffs himself up to the heavens and God must bring him down, thus giving us the meaning of the adversary falling like lightening in the NT.
When Paul wrote Ephesians HE WAS IN PRISON UNDER NERO! Thus when he was writing obviously the slanderer of whom he was speaking of was NERO, not a supernatural being.

Nor give place to the slanderer. Who would be the slanderer in this case, Nero who persecuted the followers of Jesus.

Once again let’s think about the context here. Paul is in prison, and if anyone knows there history Nero was an evil man according to the flesh. Stand against the wiles of the devil. You don’t think the people in that age called Nero a slanderer?? Of course they did. Paul was PREPARING THEM FOR PERSECUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAN devises evil in HIS HEART, and it leads to such things as slander and the speaking of lies. MAN is the adversary because in his heart he’d rather serve his flesh then serve God.
I really don’t see how anyone can just write off these scriptures? God made our flesh weak, we must acquire things in order to live, like food, shelter, clothes. Bring on famine and everybody hordes their food, becoming greedy and not wanting to share what they have. Some of the Israelites in the wilderness did not follow the manna laws, they tried to save their manna when they were not suppose to, and they set out on the Sabbath to gather manna when they were not suppose to. Why did they disobey God?? Oh, because some celestial beings came down whispered in their ears and told them to? NO. Their fear for survival, which was a natural mechanism that God gave to all mammals, and their fleshly need for food, drew them away from God’s commandment.
Ps 64:6They plot injustice and say, “We have devised a perfect plan!” Surely the mind and heart of man are cunning.

If someone wants to show me how THESE scriptures do not show that the influence to sin comes solely from our mind, due to our weak flesh, I'd really like to hear it.
It's always ABOUT THE FLESH AND THE MIND. Not even one sound scripture exists that talks about supernatural beings influencing us to do evil. Sure we have the text that say to watch out for or don't be a devil or a satan, but those are WORDS that mean adversary and slanderer, not supernatural slanderer, or supernatural adversary. They are certainly not some formal proper name for an individual. We see repeatedly that MAN following his flesh creates from HIS OWN HEART DECEIT AND SLANDER, and that man from his own mind becomes an adversary to himself and to others when he commits adultery or is greedy or murders..etc..We also see from the OT, that man puffs himself up to the heavens and God must bring him down, thus giving us the meaning of the adversary falling like lightening in the NT.
When Paul wrote Ephesians HE WAS IN PRISON UNDER NERO! Thus when he was writing obviously the slanderer of whom he was speaking of was NERO, not a supernatural being.

Hi Jodi:From what I can see you used scripture to justify what you have said, and so if it is scriptural, I do not see that any one can argue. I do not believe that Satan is some super natural being that was cast out of heaven either.
One thing that I would like to say for your consideration, and that is when we are born into this world as babies we are born in innocence, and that includes Jesus.
We were not born sinners, but we there were influences in our life to which we responded bo
th and either to good or to do evil. The scriptures state that all of us have sinned and so all of us, except for Jesus, yielded to the temptation to do evil. Some of us did more evil than others. Also, some of us were oppressed by the evil that others did against us by their words or by their deeds, and this influenced us to hate and to strike back.Also God is in the world, and jealosy of someone whom God is blessing may influence someone to do evil. Cain murdered Abel because God accepted his sacrifice and not his. Instead of trying to find out what Abel did to please God, and change his ways, he murdered him.

Can anything in the natural world appear as an angel of light?I agree that God loves men and did not create them sinners.
He knows they can again be clean vessels fir for his service.Those who vilify men as evil by created nature cannot understand salvation.

Exactly and he was not told to get behind Jesus because his thoughts were of men.
Peter was a vessel yet imperfectly cleansed.Free intellects are not mentioned in the bible but unclean spirits are a feature.
They dwelled in men and kept Jesus busy driving them out.What dwells in men does defile them and affect their speech but freedom is our future.
