Bo,
I asked:
So can you agree that you are literally a great, great, great… grandson of Adam?
Can you agree that you are literally a descendant of Adam?I would like to know if you agree to this before we move on, thanks.

YES, all men are descendants of Adam including JesusMarch 4, 2013 at 3:43 am#337329LightenupParticipantSo do you now see that Jesus is a literal descendant/son of David?

Yes a descendant not a Son of David as in the case of Solomon, right? Also Adam would be the root of David or even Abraham would be the root of David. Jesus could not be the root of David even if he was in a spiritual formMarch 5, 2013 at 4:56 pm#337392LightenupParticipantHi Bo,
Yes, Jesus is a descendant as a great, great…grandson, not like Solomon who is a direct son. Jesus is the promised descendant of David, promised by YHVH to redeem Israel and known by the Jews as the Son of David. The Son of David is the 'shoot' AND the 'root' of Jesse and David. He is the root by being the second power of YHVH, called the Word of YHVH, the one through whom all things were made. Imo.
He is the 'shoot' as the 'Word' became flesh through the power of the Holy Spirit as conceived in Mary, becoming her firstborn son. That is called the incarnation.
John 1
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life,a and the life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.March 6, 2013 at 2:12 am#337414bodhithartaParticipantQuote (Lightenup @ Mar. 06 2013,02:56) Hi Bo,

So Adam is the root of David?March 6, 2013 at 2:25 am#337416LightenupParticipantBo,
The root of David is also the root of Adam. God with and through His Word are the roots of Adam for it is by them that all things were created, imo.1 Cor 8:6
yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.March 10, 2013 at 5:41 am#337905bodhithartaParticipantQuote (Lightenup @ Mar. 06 2013,12:25) Bo,

Jesus is called the second Adam not th root of Adam, right?March 10, 2013 at 5:57 am#337909LightenupParticipantRight, He isn't specifically 'called' the Root of Adam. Nevertheless, Adam was made by the Father through the Son, so the Father and the Son would be the roots of Adam. And one of the roots, the Son of God, became a descendant of Adam through David's line as the second Adam, the Messiah, the Son of Man.
The Son would be the Root and the Shoot of Adam.

1 Corinthians 15:47
The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. If Adam isthe First Man then Jesus is the Son of Man and therfore cannot be the root of man
March 11, 2013 at 3:29 am#338024LightenupParticipantHi Bo,
I hope you are well!
Jesus as the Son of Man (the Second Adam) is the Branch (offspring) that comes from the Roots of Jesse through the stump of Jesse.
Jesus as the Son of God is the Root of Jesse/man and it is through Jesus as the Son of God, that all men came to be.Roots (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) >>>>all creation was made with Adam as the first man…eventually Jesse and David and their offspring>>>Then came, through the line of David, the Son as Branch/stem/shoot. Among Jesus's very last words in scripture tells us that He is the Root of David AND the offspring of David. This is the end of the Revelation of Jesus.
Rev 2216“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
17The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
20He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.

So you agree that Jess is not the Father of Humaity, correct?March 14, 2013 at 1:40 am#338321LightenupParticipantDuplicate post, sorry!
March 14, 2013 at 1:41 am#338323LightenupParticipantThe roots of Jesse would be the Father of humanity. The roots of Jesse would be YHVH, who is the God of gods and the Lord of lords. Jesus is the Lord of lords.

I meant “Jesus” but it really doesn't matter God Almighty created us all and to Him we will returnMarch 15, 2013 at 7:57 pm#338447LightenupParticipantHi Bo,
The God Almighty that made us all is seen by the 'Word of God'…who is God Almighty's own ARM which brought salvation to you.March 16, 2013 at 10:33 pm#338505bodhithartaParticipantQuote (Lightenup @ Mar. 16 2013,06:57) Hi Bo,

Fair enough. You agree that the arm of salvation “belongs to” God Almighty and not “is”March 17, 2013 at 12:00 am#338515LightenupParticipantWell, to be more clear about what I can agree to…I believe that the eternal Father together with His own eternal 'Arm' which is the eternal Word of God that became flesh, and the eternal Holy Spirit make up the fullness of God Almighty. The eternal Arm apart from the eternal Father and eternal Holy Spirit is not the fullness of God Almighty. The eternal Father apart from the eternal 'Arm' and eternal Holy Spirit is not the fullness of God Almighty. The eternal Holy Spirit apart from the eternal Father and the eternal 'Arm' is not the fullness of God Almighty. All three interdependently make up the fullness of God Almighty.

So the Father needs the begotten son to exist?March 19, 2013 at 2:53 am#338688LightenupParticipantHi Bo,
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are interdependent as the Almighty God. No part can or ever was or ever will be missing of the Almighty God.The Father needs the Son and the Holy Spirit to be the Almighty God, our Saviour.
