Kerwin……you have it right brother, our mortal bodies will be what is resurected, which means the same DNA will be regenerated.
This is proven by the words Paul used “IT IS RAISED”. The it there is the “mortal” body that died. But this physical body will be sustained eternally by the spirit of the living GOD. IMO
peace and love to you and yours. ………gene
December 8, 2015 at 6:44 am#805807NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
The new body will not be mortal.
Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom.
December 8, 2015 at 8:16 am#805812kerwinParticipantNick,
No as it is a mortal body that has been quickened.
Then according to you “no flesh will be saved”?
December 8, 2015 at 8:38 am#805814NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Not as flesh but some will be saved.
Post above should read
No. Truth is eternal.
December 8, 2015 at 10:14 am#805815kerwinParticipantNick,
It literally states flesh will be saved. Why don’t you understand those words literally?
It also states it is the mortal body that is quickened.
December 8, 2015 at 10:31 am#805816NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Where does scripture say this?
Indeed the mortal bodies of men now alive is quickened.

Hi Nick,
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up
Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11)________________
God bless
Ed JDecember 8, 2015 at 1:11 pm#805819NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
Yes mortal bodies will be quickened.
December 8, 2015 at 1:13 pm#805821kerwinParticipantNick,
In Romans 8:11 Paul is telling people that are alive and have the Spirit that their mortal bodies that are already quick will be quickened in the future.
December 8, 2015 at 1:31 pm#805822NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
So you say
December 8, 2015 at 2:55 pm#805826kerwinParticipantNick,
Its what the words read literally.
Ed quotes Romans 8:11
You might have missed it but the shall is future tense while the dwelleth is present tense.
The only context I supplied was that the people in the church at Rome were alive when Paul wrote those words. I supplied it only emphasize it as I am sure you were already aware of it.
I did paraphrase the words.

Matthew 24:22Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
22 And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.
Flesh will be saved for the elects sake.
A literal interpretation is flesh is saved.
December 8, 2015 at 3:14 pm#805828NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
This speaks about men being saved from death.
Eternal salvation is another issue entirely
December 8, 2015 at 3:25 pm#805829NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Yes the Spirit will give eternal life to those who yet live when the Lord returns
His speech is spiritual as it was when Jesus, speaking of eternal life, said “some standing here will never die”

Are you claiming flesh does not literally mean flesh?
December 8, 2015 at 4:07 pm#805831kerwinParticipantNick,
Yes, but Paul’s choice of words is “quicken your mortal bodies”. How can mortal bodies be quickened when they are already alive?
December 8, 2015 at 4:14 pm#805832NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Indeed we all need to quickened with eternal life while we live.
Ecc 12
Flesh means flesh.
God spared the lives of some from His mercy.
December 8, 2015 at 4:23 pm#805833NickHassanParticipantHi KW.
Rom 8
But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he does not belong to him…
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God
December 8, 2015 at 4:42 pm#805834NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Jn12
“If any man is thirsty let him come to me and drink..”
..but this he spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believe in him were to receive.”
Ecc 12.1-7
December 8, 2015 at 4:49 pm#805838kerwinParticipantNick,
Flesh does indeed mean flesh and since flesh is saved because those times are cut short then it means God had a reason for saving it. It is only done for the elects sake and it is the elects whose mortal body will be quickened. That quickened mortal body is a Spiritual body because it is quickened by the Spirit.
