I believe Jesus is God by nature but those who taught you took the meaning so far as to claim Jesus was the one God.  It is written that God cannot be tempted by evil.  It is also written that Jesus was tempted even as we are.  Those things in themselves tell us Jesus is not like God in nature in the way you believe.

It is either one or the other not both.

As far as I know you are a trinitarian and therefore not of the belief that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles for the one true God.  I know some trinitarians are confused and teach a hybrid of the two.  You seem to be one of their disciples.  

Jesus existed in the form of his Father and his God.

In this case it is just a passage of Scripture and one I often quote. It is Ephesians 4:24 and speaks of new man that is the spiritual image of God. It is also spoken of in Colossians 2:10-11.

Still, you have a point that Adam and Even at the age before their fall were a pale shade of what humanity will be in the age to come. Never the less they were still superior to beasts as God decided to created them in his own image.
