1.of speech A.a word, uttered by a living voice, embodies a conception or idea
B.what someone has saidLove in Christ,

And is that also the definition of “logos” in Revelation 19:13, Marty? If not, what/who does the word “logos” refer to in that verse?
Hi Mike:Perhaps, but in Revelation 19 the scripture states “his name” is called “the Logos of God”.
And here, we are seeing Jesus as one who has obeyed God without sin even unto death on the cross and who has been exalted to God's right hand as head of the church, and who is the judge of the living and the dead through the Word of God that has been spoken by God through him, and that he obeyed without sin unto death.
The Logos is that which God has spoken before the advent of Jesus pertaining to him and after his advent the Logos which God has spoken to humanity through him.
The Logos of God did not originate from Jesus.

Love in Christ,

And your “name is called Marty”, right? Well, aren't you Marty?
Can I look at you and say, “There goes Marty”, no matter what “Marty” actually means? Likewise, could I see Jesus someday and say, “There goes the Word of God”?But all this is besides the point. The point is: If the name “the Word of God” refers to the person Jesus in Rev 19:13, why do you find it so hard to believe that this same name could also be referring to Jesus in John 1:1, 1:14, and 1 John 1:1?
After all, it was the same John who wrote all three of those books of scripture, right?
And John says the world was made through this Word, while other scriptures say the world was made through Jesus.
And this Word, after becoming flesh, dwelled on earth with the glory of God's only begotten Son. Who else besides Jesus did that?
John says this Word was with God before being made flesh, and Phil 2 says Jesus was existing in the form of God before being made into the likeness of a human being.
John the Baptist says very specific words about this Word in 1:15, and says those same exact words about Jesus in 1:30.
Marty, this is just the tip of the iceberg, but surely you are able to recognize these extraordinary “coincidences”, right?
(Btw, none of us say the Word of God originated FROM Jesus. We say that sometimes “the word of God” refers to Jesus, who originated from God – just like everything else in creation.)

Hi Mike:In Isaiah his name is called wonderful, counselor, mighty
God, the everlasting Father. His name is Jesus. See the difference?
Also, in John 1 the scripture states “the Logos was God”, and so if the Logos was God and in John 1:14 the Logos was made flesh, the God became flesh or God became a man, and we know that God is not a man nor is He flesh, but the scripture states that God is a Spirit.
And in Philippians 2:6, You keep adding that Jesus was in the form of God “before he became a man”.
John 1:1 is the Logos which by definition is what God has spoken and embodies an idea. It pertains to Jesus. In Genesis, the scripture makes reference to him as the seed of the woman, in Exodus the scripture makes reference to him as the passover lamb, in Deuteronomy the scripture makes reference to him as the coming prophet like unto Moses, in Leviticus the scripture makes reference to him as the high priest, and in Isaiah 53 he is the suffering servant upon whom the iniquity of us all was laid upon, just to name some of the Word of God that makes reference to him in the OT. But the scriptures state in Galatians that “in the fulness of time God sent forth his Son made of a woman under the Law”, and in 1 Peter 1 we are told that he was foreordained. Yes, God stated that all things were made by him, and without him was nothing made that was made.
Without a doubt, what the scriptures state about him is true, but the scriptures do not state that he existed as a sentient person prior to his birth into this world.

Hi Marty. Let's slow down for a minute here. I actually want to hear your answers to all of these points I made. But I have numbered the points, so we can address just one point at a time. Here is point #1:A. Is your name called “Marty”? YES or NO?
B. Can I look at you and say, “There goes Marty”, no matter what “Marty” actually means? YES or NO?
C. Likewise, could I see Jesus someday and say, “There goes the Word of God”? Or, “There goes the Lamb of God”? Or, “There goes the mighty god”? Or, “There goes the Wonderful Counselor”?
Marty, please answer YES or NO to all three of these sub-points.

Hi Mike:Yes, my name is Marty, and his name is Jesus is that not correct? I am also called a Christian.
He name is called “the Logos of God” by virtue of his position as head of the church and in this position he is the judge of the living and the dead, by the “Logos of God”, and his name is called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, the Everlasting Father because we have seen all these qualities of God's character manifest through Jesus' life.
He is called “the Everlasting Father”. Is he “the Everlasting Father”, Mike?
