    Mike;

    It is the Word that Jehovah declare has “gone out of my mouth” so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.

    Kerwin,

    My question was: What or who was “the Word”?

    Telling me “the Word” was “the Word” is not helping. Was it a spirit of God? Was it God Himself? Was it a literal word that God spoke?

    kerwin,

    boy i dont believe in your opinion

    i believe what the bible says.

    Christ is LORD and GOD!

    john 20.28
    thomas said to jesus, my LORD and my GOD!

    Jammin;

    It is clear you do not believe what Scripture states or you would know my opinion uses the words of Scripture; and the ideas of expressed therein.

    So Jesus isn't really our savior, Ed? Hmmm………… The apostles seemed to think he was. ???

    How about the ones Nehemiah called “saviors”? Was Nehemiah lying?

    I believe the Word that has gone out of God's mouth and been made flesh by being united with the human Jesus; is literally God's spoken Word.

    Jammin,

    Thomas did say my Lord and my God and elsewhere we are told there are  many Lords and Gods.  We know Jesus teaches us he has both a Lord and a God; who is Jehovah; the one that we acknowledge is the true God.

    Jehovah has no God or Lord; while Jesus does.

    Note:added back a word I had dropped.

    thanks for the answer kerwin

    now, christ has the form or nature of God

    you said there are many lords and gods. yes the bible says that but they are not like christ.

    christ has the same nature as GoD

    do these people have the nature of God? yes or no?

    if yes, give me the verse that says that they have the form or nature of God

    Ah, so then Jesus IS truly a savior who is NOT Jehovah, right?

    Hmmm…………. How is it that Jehovah said there was no savior but Him?

    It seems to me that if you want to take “one God” completely literally, then you should also take “one savior” and “one lord” completely literally.

    But you understand that there have been many saviors and many lords, and therefore understand the words “one savior” and “one lord” in a certain way – as emphatic statements. Why then does that correct logic fly out the window when it comes to “one God” – especially when there are many scriptures that describe the many other gods in existence?

    And did this Word actually BECOME the flesh being Jesus of Nazareth? Or did it come to dwell IN the flesh being Jesus Nazareth?

    Mike;

    The Word came into being flesh. The how it transitioned from the God's spoken word to God's spoken word incarnate is not spoken of in John 1:14. It is spoken of elsewhere as an accomplished act.

    “came into being flesh”? I don't know what that means, Kerwin.

    It seems to me that the Word either BECAME a flesh being, or it came to be IN an already flesh being. Your understanding requires the latter, while scripture teaches the former.

    Hi Jammin,

    Those that have “metamorphosed” into the New Man,
    do have the divine nature of God. (see 2Peter 1:4)
