In John 1:14 John teaches that believers see and participate in the results of seeing (see note) the glory that is like unto the glory of the only begotten of God.
Elsewhere it is written; “we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”; Is that the same glory John is speaking of since the Word is God?
The Holy Spirit reveals the Word as it reveals the deep things of God, 1 Corinthians 2:10, and the Word is of God.
Sonship comes both by the Spirit and by the Word, Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6, and 1 Peter 1:23.
The Word, Spirit, and Sonship are intimately associated.

Apparently, at the time of the great tribulation, some of God's elect are still flesh and blood human beings. (144,000 of them, according to Revelation)But if these 144,000 consist of flesh at that time, then they have not yet been born again from above of water and spirit.

Rebirth of water and the Spirit does not change men from flesh beings to some other variety.Flesh gives birth to flesh, Nick. To enter the Kingdom of God, you will have to be born again of water and spirit, thereby no longer consisting of flesh. (Flesh cannot inherit God's Kingdom.)
