Nick,It does state Jesus is called the Word. It also states Jesus is faithful and true; should we replace those words with him as well?
I understand you can see the how that is reading into Scriptures.

No No. Stop yapping and find the versesMarch 27, 2012 at 2:06 am#288088terrariccaParticipantQuote (mikeboll64 @ Mar. 27 2012,18:39) Quote (Ed J @ Mar. 25 2012,20:13) Quote (mikeboll64 @ Mar. 26 2012,13:11) Really? He seemed to be very fond of the memory of him reclining against the bosom of Jesus. He mentioned it twice in his gospel. Everyone wanted to touch Jesus. If he were here right now, I would rush for an embrace, or at the very least, a touch.
HA Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!
Well, let's see Ed……………They layed hands on people – touching.
They washed each other's feet – touching.
They greeted each other with kisses, as was the custom – touching.
They reclined against one another while dining – touching.
They anointed each other with oil – touching.
People clammored toward Jesus thinking, “If I could just touch even his outer garment, I will be healed” – touching. So I really don't see what's so funny. It seems to me that Nick has offered us up yet another proof that Jesus is the Word……….because when did anyone SEE or TOUCH the Holy Spirit or the spirit of Christ?
And I'll offer you yet another one I read today:
Luke 1:2
just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eye-witnesses and servants of the Word (logos). It seems as if John was not the only disciple to call Jesus “the Word”.
Mikethis is a verse i have over looked yes very good thanks

Can I TOUCH your Word with my very own human HANDS, Nick? The disciples touched this particular Word WITH THEIR HUMAN HANDS.
March 27, 2012 at 2:31 am#288100NickHassanParticipantHi T,
The Word WAS God.
Now emptied becoming the servant Jesus Christ.
Still one with God in the Spirit the Word will return to rule the earthly kingdom of God.March 27, 2012 at 2:32 am#288101mikeboll64BlockedQuote (kerwin @ Mar. 26 2012,19:35) Quote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 27 2012,07:04) Hi MB,

Only in the verses where it is clear that's who is being spoken of, Kerwin.Perhaps you could tell me which particular “Word” the disciples were able to touch with their human hands?

Hi Mike,They handled speaking God's word! not fondling Jesus?
“the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit” (John 6:63)Biased versions are NOT the way to learn biblical truth.
Luke 1:1-4 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order
a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of “The Word”;
It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order,
most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.God bless
Ed J (Joshua 22:34)
