Gene, man has a physical body and also has immaterial aspects such as soul, spirit, intellect, will, emotions, conscience, etc.These exist beyond the physical world of atoms. As for intellect, I put that in the realm of the soul. For the soul is us and my intellect is me. But the spirit inside me is not me, it is what give ME life. It comes from God. God is the Father of spirits. The heart is my soul and spirit. My heart is not my body.
We should look after our whole body, soul, and spirit.
Kerwin…….This is where we disagree brother, i believe that our complete being is a body with spirit intellect in it, in fact I believe all physical creation exists exactly the same they have bodies as GOD made for them and he also placed their spirit “intellects” they have in them. THE SAME APPLYS FOR ALL OF GOD’S CREATION, SPRITIS ARE WHAT LIFE IS, AND LIFE IS “INTELLEGENT COGNISITY” of the mind in all creation. ALL THINGS comes from one GOD, WHO HIMSELF LIVES VACARIOUSLY IN AND THROUGH HIS WHOLE CREATION. Just as it says, “that God may be “ALL” AND IN YOU “ALL”.” IF GOD WERE TO EXTRACT HIS SPIRIT INTELLECT FROM ALL CREATION ALL CREATION WOULD SIMLY DIE and exist no more. IMO

But we would be reassured if you made some effort to source your ideas from scripture.

I am speaking of the meaning of the word spirit and not anything other than that.
Hope is not the fruit of any intellect but it is the fruit of the Spirit.
The intellect is shared between body and soul. Its fruit are thoughts; be they thoughts of mathematics or of the praise of God.
The heart of the spirit is the seat of desires be those desire of God or of man.
Nick……so tell us what does it mean by being “spritual” renewed, is that not the renewing of our mind, which is our “thinking” which is our intellects. Seems you don’t really know what to be spiritually minded means. It has all to do with our “THINKING” wrether you see that or not does not change the truth NICK. IMO

Nick…….So tell us what spritual mean to you, seening you say , the spirit would rather have us beome spritual. Does that elimate our intellects in your view? So tell us how this spirit idea of yours works without changing our preception of things which is brings about the changing of our thinking or intellects.
You talk like you know what spritual is but never tell us exactly what that means to you. How can you say a person is wrong and yet give no explanation why he is, why not just give us your RENDITIONS of what spirit “IS” AND DOES in us. Be a lot better then just accusing and mouthing out criticisms if you ask me.

Kerwin…..HOPE is a thought process based on the intellegence we have recieved by “FAITH” given FROM GOD. OUR WHOLE EXISTENCE IS BASED ON THOUGHT, “I THINK THEREFORE I AM” is a true statement imo. We are no more then what our minds are and that is the seat of our intellect. Remove the mind, our thinking stops, then we no longer exist, that is why i believe what scripture says “when a man dies his thoughts parish” , he no longer exists as a living being, untill the resurection takes place, that will give us again a mind inside a regenerated body. Which will enble us to start to think and live again.

The Spirit of God affects the mind the mind does not affect the Spirit of God. The Spirit teaches.

AT LEAST YOU DO HAVE AN OPINION WHAT SPIRIT IS.
NICK SEEM TO HAVE NONE SO HE JUST OTHERS OF NOT KNOWING ALL THE WHILE COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS TO WHAT SPIRIT REALLY IS, AT LEAST IT APEARS THAT WAY. BY NEVER TELLING US WHAT HE THINKS SPIRIT IS.

Anyone who say spirits are not intellegent and can transfer their intellegence to us, is just ignorant and infull denial of what scripture says about spirit. IMO

The Spirit gives us knowledge but knowledge is not intellect. Intellect is the ability to solve problems, critical thinking, ability to learn, reasoning ability , and a number of other things along that line.
The knowledge the Spirit teaches is how to love as God loves and that is not knowledge the intellect learns though it is biased by it.

Nick……Wrong again i am not your teacher, or anyones here, i only say what i have come to see and understand from the spirit of the living GOD IMO, and i also see and understand Your accusitory spirit working in you. Nick……show where i do not agree with scriptures, babling about something proves nothing, you say i speak against scripure, then show it, you’re mouthing off means nothing to me or anyone else here, as far as that goes. You say different spirits are not types and kinds of intellects then prove it by scriptures. Truth is you can’t or you wouldhave long ago produced those scriptures,so you can only use the spirit working in you, which gives you your accusitory demeanor. IMO

Spirit is intellect is not in scripture.
Nick….First of all that scripture was JOHN warning people not to add to the book of Revelations what was written in it. BUT YOU GAIN TAKE LIBERTY WITH SCRIPTURES actually are refering to AND USE THEN TO JUSTIFY your worng understandings. Lik you have done by saying there are not Seven Spirits of GOD, CHANGING IT TO MEAN SEVEN ABGELS, what interesting Nick is, how you spue out of your mouth what you refuse to do. Now what then do you do with this scripture,
Matt 13:53……Then said he unto them, therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of God is like unto a man that is a householder, which BRINGS forth out of “HIS” TREASURE, things “NEW” AND OLD.
