Please excuse me for butting in,
but I see your words as being in conflict…On the one hand you are using the word “intelligent”
meaning having the ability to make decisions with directive.And on the other hand you say we have NO “Free Will”
meaning we DON’T have the ability to make decisions without directive.Those ideas of yours suggest that *ALL* of our futuristic intention directives
come from a source outside of ourselves. Is that what you want us to believe?___________

I spoke with a JW saleswoman yesterday and asked why they say Jesus is an angel.
She said that because he is the ruler in a heavenly kingdom then he must be a heavenly being and angel seems a good option.
I rest my case.
EDj……A directed mind is not a “freewill” mind, or it could not be directed by anything IMO. Our wills are being directed by GOD.
Php 2:13….”For it is God which “WORKS” in you “BOTH” to “WILL” and to do “HIS” good pleasure”
Many who do not understand this go about trying to establish RIGHTIOUSNES themselves and have not put their wills to death. A form of godliness but deny the power thereof.

This verse seems to be saying that we must use
our God given “FreeWill” and follow His instructions willingly“Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding:
whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle,
lest they come near unto thee.” (Psalms 32:9)What is your take on this verse?

Ed JEDJ…….. Captivated Stubborn wills, nothing “free” about it. God is at work in his chilern driving their wills to do of his good pleasure. No scripture can disqualify another. IMO

tell me why are they kept captive by the devil ? for the devil does not hold or chain people right ? NO so tell me how are we able to be a captive of the devil ?
Terricca……we have been set free, but many are completely cativated by satan and his demons. They can even physically control a person, as witnessed by scriptures.
Terricca… if we are talking about a converted person, Satan can not control him IMO , because he has recieved the spirit of truth into him and SATAN can not decieve him. If we are being kept by the power of GOD, then Satan can’t get to us, remember the prayer,
“MAY ‘THE LORD BLESS YOU AND “KEEP” YOU, MAY THE LORD MAKE HIS FACE SHINE UPON YOU AND BE GRACIOUS UNTO TO, MAY THE LORD LIFT UP HIS COUNTENANCE UPON YOU AND GIVEYOU PEACE”.
While Satan can effect things around us, he cannot get to us unless the LORD allows it. But we aso have our own personal problems we struggle, like our health and wrong habbits also, so while we are accounted as saved, it is a struggle we also struggle against evil powers and principalties in high places, we are told. But we are told this also,we are more then overcomers through him that died and gave himself for us ,brother. IMO

did not Christ set us free by telling us to leave this world and join God’s world in which we are free in total righteousness ,
not fighting the world of the devil ,but for this we have to leave it first cannot be with the devil and God ,
our stuggles /tribulations in Christ name can all be overcome by prayer,self control, devotion to do what is right in God’s eyes and the like s

I have intellictual ideas, but GOD DOSEN’T. NOW YOU SAY GOD CAN’T TRANSMIT HIS “INTELLECTUAL IDEAS TO US RIGHT?
