Gene agrees with me but he is getting carried away with his own argument that has little or nothing to do with my own. I am writing about grammar and he is writing about content.
It seems I am somehow giving him the idea in my discussion that there is more that one being of Jehovah’s kind. I am not making that case.
So I agree with Gene’s claim that there is but one of Yahweh’s kind while at the same time I claim it is established that the Hebrew languages uses the word god to mean several different though perhaps related things.

I can so relate to that kerwin. I guess we are destined to do foolish things when we are not focussed on the Lord. Because we are human, we are not always focussed.

The way I see it is, Jesus said unless we have the faith of a child, or turn and become like children, we will not see the kingdom of Heaven. So, we can get all complicated, or simply believe without complication.
If we believe that love exists, love will eventually find us. If we believe we will fail, we will usually fail. Therefore, if we believe as a christian that no other god exist, then no other gods but the one true God will exist in our mind, despite what may be written, debated or true.
Kerwin….. that is your error, beleving the wod God has multiple meanings.
While there is one true God, there are many who are called god(s) whether false gods or that word being applied legitimately. If an earthquake can be ‘elohim’, then obviously that word can be used to mean ‘great’. While God is the greatest, there are also many so-called ‘great’ things too.
Despite ‘theos’ and ‘elohim’ being used in various ways or to various subjects, that does not in any way detract from the greatest of truths (elohim of truths) that there is one God the Father who is in all and can see all. It is HE who is the greatest elohim of all.
Of course many attack this truth whether they are up to mischief or a genuinely deceived about it, it is perhaps the truth that is most attacked. The other truth under fire is regarding the identity of Jesus. There are many doctrines out there that will say he is God, man, angel, or didn’t exist at all. Very few focus on the fact that he is the Christ, the Lord, the son of God, and the Word of God.
But if we truly love God and his son, then we will love the truth. Anyone who does not love the truth cannot really love the one whom truth proceeds.

there is only one way that I know, that will happen and that is one by one you throw out of you the errors /lies and any untruth you know of and replace it by the truth of God from his written word ,

It is not because we are human that we are not focused it is because we have more to learn. The question is if we want to learn or not. If so then we seek to be always focused knowing that God can make it happen through faith in Jesus Christ.

The context of these verses is to love YaHavah your Elohim with all your heart, mind, and soul, which means listening to and obeying YaHavah, ergo, circumcised heart. YaHavah is above all. He appoints judges and he judges all without regard to position whether it be high or low, good or bad. I hope this helps.

It seems that people are compelled to believe that if there is one true God, then all other uses of theos must imply a false god. Yet we are told for example that there is one spirit, so are angels false spirits? If there is one baptism, then is the baptism of repentance false or the baptism of the spirit, or baptism of fire?
To few people look at the whole picture. You are right PBTB, if we take care in our studies, then we can easily see the truth. It is written for all of us to see if we want to see the truth. Drawing conclusions that trample on scripture is not wise.

How about only ture, does that mean there are other “true” Gods? Talk about ignoring scripture why do you ignore JESUS’ WORDS?
When God the Father said he looked for other Gods and found none, how is it that you are able to find other Gods, but God the Father could find none?. Do you people even know what the word IDOLATRY even means?
