The body is dead, you are absent from your body, if you are IN the Spirit then you are at home with the Lord. This is all spiritual, as their bodies aren’t literally dead, it represents that they have FAITH in God and they do not have faith in their own flesh, you are sick of your weak corruptible flesh you long for a new uncorruptible body that does not tempt you anymore.

Scripture says in Genesis that by the breath of God man became a living soul.
Scripture says in Heb 4 that there is a division between the soul and the spirit.
Scripture tells us that at death man does not return to God for judgement but the spirit does return.
Scripture speaks of Sheol and the mansions of Christ as places of waiting till all are ready for judgement
Those in Christ die and their spirit returns to God but they have eternal life in his Spirit.

But according to you men , (as the human spirits of men), had already returned to God whether they had died, in their sins or not. God is sovereign and all powerful and does not tolerate sin. I believe you need to rethink this.
To all…yes the “BODY” WITHOUT THE SPIRIT “IS” DEAD. Thats what “dies” and corupts in the ground, that “soul” is dead forever, just like any animal no more life in that body, until God by his spirit forms ANOTHER Body, like The way he did FOR ADAM AND EVE, and puts the breath of life back into in , it, (that soul that died) would never again return to life, but GOD uses the same DNA, and gives us another speritualy generated “BODY”, just like the body Adam had, a spritual generated body, that can live forever, if given to eat of the tree of life, just as Adams body could have also if he was allow to eat of the tree of life.
Why do you think it says, “EVERY “HAIR” ON YOUR HEAD IS NUMBERED” why number them if they were going to be done away with, no point in numbering them right? Our DNA, contains every single part of us in it’s our generic code, nothing is lost for GOD THE FATHER TO REGENRATE OUR BODIES AGAIN. We should all be able to understand that in this day and age.

Nick….WHAT DOES IT SAY, read it slow and carefully, Gen 2:7 .., “And the LORD GOD formed “man” of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and “THE MAN” became or came to be, A (LIVING SOUL”.
Now what came to be a living (soul) the “MAN”, but you say no, the “man” is not a living SOUL. It may make me unique Nick, But it is because your not believing what is clearly written there Nick.

Born of earth as far as the outer man goes and the body returns to the dust of earth.
But the inner man is a living soul that is of the breath of the eternal God of heaven and earth.
And the life is from the spirit.
Nick….scripture please , show a single scripture that says that. I have never seem one scripture that say the inner “man” is the soul of a man. The word “man” means a (flesh) human being as far as i know, and that “flesh” man is what became a “living” soul, before he became a “living soul” he was a dead soul. When our flesh dies we are a dead soul, no longer a living Soul. Our ‘souls” see corruption in the Grave, they must be restored in order for us to live again. A resurection of that dead body must take place for us to live again, just like it was for Jesus. No difference the same thing must happen to us like it did him. IMO.

Ed JNick….have you thrown out the exact scriptures i quoted in Genesis that show “exactly” what a living soul consists of. Go back and reread it slowly, and except it as the “truth” ignori g them or tryibg to change them to meet you ideas, doesn’t work brother.

Now what makes up a “living soul? , dust of the ground with the breath of life “IN” IT. Nick how could you possible not understand that.
The concept of a (soul) still living after it dies is a false pagan concept, it is not true. When Jesus said he was dead he really meant it, if he were not resurected he still would be dead. Surely you believe what he himself said right? “I was dead and now (after the resurection ) am alive forever more”.
It is apsolutely crucial we all attain to the resurection, “that will wittness the redemption of our (BODIES).”

Nick….who is saying “flesh contributes any thing” that does not take way the fact the body does furnish us a house use to live in, along with our heavenly Father, Who makes it a holy temple to live in. Our flesh is like a covering, a housing our minds and spirits live in.
But i see no scripture that say our “Soul” is seperate from our body, in fact i have showed you clearly, what a soul is. And there are scroptures that show Jesus was actually dead, when his “body died” at least that is what he said anyway.
