    Hi 94,
They died physically within a DAY.
    No spiritual death is recorded

Yes, Nick, it is recorded. What we are speaking of is a second and final separation from God. All of us have sinned and were spiritually dead in our trespasses. This is the first death or spiritual separation. From this death, we can be reconciled to God by coming to Him acknowledging our sin, with a repentant heart.

This is true of all from the beginning of creation, until the Lord shuts the door to the ark. Before the flood, Enoch repented and walked with God, and was translated that he would not see death, Noah and his family were saved by the ark, and those under the the Law who obeyed God, not without sin, will be raised from the dead.

The second death is eternal separatiion from God.

There will be those who are alive but dead in their sins, spirtually separated from God, when Jesus comes for the church. They will be judged by the seven last plagues. That is their second death or eternal separation from God.

    Hi Nick:

This is what the Lord stated:

    Quote
Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

    28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

    And so,

    Quote
    Revelation 19
    King James Version (KJV)
19 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

3 And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.

    17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

    Quote
    Revelation 20:10
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

    Hi 94,
    Mt 25
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: 22 and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23 and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24 and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Marty……….  All died within a 1000 year period, because that is what a day to God is, according to Peter. Notice also what shall be quickened a “MORTAL” (dead) “BODY”, says nothing about a MORTAL SPIRIT, why because the Spirit does not die , it just does not function without a BODY to be “IN”.   A resurrection of a BODY is crucial to our further existence after death.  So it says our hope is in the “Resurrection” the will “WITNESS” the “REDEMPTION of our BODIES. according to Paul.

    Hi Nick;

The scriptures state that Enoch walked with God after he lived 65 and begat Methuselah, and so, during the first 65 years he was not walking with God, according to this scripture, and so, if you start walking with God after 65 years, does that not signify that he repented?

    Hi Nick:

When you were born again, you received the baptisim of the Holy Spirit, and at that time the Spirit of God quickened you or made you alive to God. You were dead in your sins and trespasses, and now, having your sins washed away by the blood of Jesus your soul is alive to God in this mortal body, but no, when you die the physical death the Spirit does not dwell in you, the Spirit goes to God. The mortal body will decay and go to the dust. The mortal body will not be raised or made alive from that state, but we will be raised from the dead by the Spirit in our spiritual body.

Marty…….Here is the scripture i was relating to……> Rom 8:23…> And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption to wit, the redemption of our “BODY”.

Also Marty, Paul in 1 Cor 14 15…………..> So are the resurrection of the “DEAD”, (that is talking about the body, not the spirit because the spirit does not die) “IT” is sown in “CORRUPTION” “IT” is “RAISED” in INCORRUPTION” “IT” is sown in dishonor; “IT” is raised in glory: IT” is sown in weakness: “IT” raised in power>

Marty all the “IT” there is talking about a BODY not a Spirit, because the spirit can not be sown in corruption, and Spirit is not corrupted in the grave, the BODY is.

Something else, to consider Marty, 1 Cor 15:46…> Howbeit that was not first which is ” Spiritual (minded) but that which is “NATURAL” (minded) : and afterward that which is “SPIRITUAL” (minded)

Check out the word for Spiritual Marty. You will find it is referencing the condition of the mind and is relating this to our RESURRECTED BODIES” as Being Spiritual MINDED or Mentally sustained.

Look up the word for Spiritual and you will see it is talking about a regenerating stated of mind. IMO

You presume he was not walking with God?
    Should we?

The human spirit goes to God -ecc 12

Those who die but are alive to God is because the SPIRIT abides in them

“I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU”

No mention of the Spirit leaving and returning with a new body.

God is the God of the LIVING
    Are you LIVING?

Have you partaken of the waters of eternal life only to have become thirsty again?

    Jn4
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
    Jn7
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
    10.Joshua 1:5
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
