Hi Ed. At the moment for my schoolwork I am reading Dr Faustus. It is a 16th century play written by atheist Christopher Marlowe. In the play, Dr Faustus sells his soul to the Devil in exchange for knowledge, magic, and pleasure.

Apparently, Gemetria, (a form of numerology), is categorized as magic.

You are a Gematrist, (is there such a word?), who apparently solved a number riddle set to you by a Muslim. However, as I pointed out, Islam presumably considers Gematria to be an occult practice. (Paul became a Jew to the Jew and a Gentile to the Gentiles – think about that Ed).

(I just Googled ‘Gematrist” to check the spelling, and even Google’s definition says “Gematria /ɡəˈmeɪ.tri.ə/ is an Assyro-Babylonian system of numerology”, yet you say it is not numerology? I think you are wrong!)

The only connection that is apparent here, is in the use of mathematics.

“3.68421052631578947” is division – the meaning understood as 420 ÷ 114. (<– are you calling this numerology)
“Gematria”=74 uses addition, its meaning is the adding of letter values together. (7+5+13+1+20+18+9+1 =74)

Unless of course you are affirming the connection of “the witness Ed”
in Joshua 22:34 to me as BD has clearly done (in the following quotes…)
