Your getting her mixed up with CARMEL, AND OTHERS HERE WHO DO THAT, they even change scriptures or force the text to try to make them say what in fact the do not “specifically say, or in some cases do not even hint at.

ME: Not good form Pilgrim to deduce a belief by picking out part of my post and ignoring the rest. Makes sense though, it’s seems on par with how you treat the bible, just picking out what you want so it fits your doctrine while not applying the rest.
Yes, I quoted that which Gene said, and Gene further explained that your word comes from your intellect, it comes from your thoughts, and as I said our one true God the Father’s word expresses to us His character and it gives us His intentions, the plan that has been in His mind since before the world even began, an intent that He declared from the beginning.

Edj…..we have been through all that before , that scripture is no speaking about hoe the will “itself” Works. even simple logic itself , should tell you that he was speaking of a person who “volinteers” to do it, but it is not addressing the “reason” that caused that person to “will” to do it, now is it? Jodi… Right God’s words are the expression of “his thoughts”, not the thoughts of anyone else, and when anyone “quotes” them as Jesus and the prophets did to us, they were expressing GOD the Fathers “thoughts”, not theirs.
God and his word are one and the same thing, just as our words and us are the same thing, no difference. We cannot seperate the mind from the words spoken by “anyone”, including GOD’S mind, from his words.
Therefore every man shall be judged by his own words, for they proceed out from his own heart, even so GOD the Fathers words proceed out of his own heart also. All those who are “in” the Father find rest for their souls, because they trust in them, and therefore rest in the words of their God.

This whole business of saying Jesus is “The Word”, is just one of the most nonsensical doctrines of all.
I’d really like to see them admit that our Father promised to rest His Spirit upon the son of Jesse, and Jesus became that word that was spoken by our Father made true in him, thus our Father’s word that He spoke was made true in the flesh, and people beheld his glory.
That anointed flesh was then sent out into the world. Jesus the anointed Son of Man, a Son of God according to the Spirit, a Son of God for being led by the Spirit was SENT to save that which was lost, coming to the people directly in the flesh.

You are in error,
Jesus was a mortal human who could be tempted, who could feel pain and who could die.
He could have chosen to save himself from death on the cross, but he didn’t because he was obedient, and he was obedient because God was directing all his ways. The very reason why he was persecuted and killed was because of the works of God that he was doing. God knew in sending the anointed Jesus of Nazareth out into a world that some would reject him and plot to kill him.
By his obedience he was perfected remaining as a lamb without spot or blemish who could thus be the sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins, which was death, so with our sins forgiven we may have life again. Because he remained without sin God could not hold him to the penalty of death, so our heavenly Father raised him from the dead, as he was not deserving of that death. God wouldn’t even allow for his flesh to decay even!
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Jesus knows that he is laying down his life so that sins could be forgiven and a resurrection thus can occur. Jesus knows that by him laying down his life he will be the man ordained of God to judge the world having the power to grant eternal life.

Jesus dies and you are directly told in several passages it is our heavenly Father who raises Jesus from the dead. Look at the surrounding text Carmel, it is obvious that Jesus is laying down his life not so that he can raise his own life up again, but he is doing it so that he can raise up his sheep and give them eternal life.

In John 1:2 the word “He” is used to refer to “the Word” in John 1:1 indicating a being. So let’s now read John 1:1-3 as it is written. “In the beginning was (He) the Word and (He) the Word was with (not IN) God, and (He) the Word was God. The same (He the Word) was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him (He the Word); and without Him (He the Word) was not any thing made that was made”. This explicit and clear text is supported elsewhere in the New Testament (e.g. Colossians 1, Hebrews 1, Philippians 2 to cite a few).
In John 1:14 we read “And (He) the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us“.
In John 1:30 John the Baptist says plainly and explicitly of the person Jesus the Lamb Of God (who is the Word made flesh), spoken of in this very chapter, “This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was BEFORE me.”
Now this is how you interpret these verses to fit your doctrine: “In the beginning was the mind, plan, intention, thought (of the Father) and the mind, plan, intention, thoughts (of the Father) was with the Father, and the mind, plan, intention, thoughts (of the Father) was the Father. The same (I.e. the mind, plan, intention, thoughts of the Father) was in the beginning with the Father. This same method of interpretation then is used in the other scriptures and in John 1:14 we read, according to you interpretation, “And mind, plan, intention, thoughts of the Father was made flesh, and dwelt among us“.
In John 1:30 we are now supposed to read, according to your interpretation, “This is the mind, plan, intention, thoughts (of the Father ) of whom I said, After me comes a man (the prophesied man who is the mind, plan, intention, thoughts of the Father) who is preferred before me: for he (the prophesied man who is the mind, plan, intention, thoughts of the Father) was before (in the mind, plan, intention, thoughts Of the Father) me.” John 1:30
It seems pretty clear who is interpreting and changing scripture to fit their doctrine. I haven’t changed the explicit and clear text of scripture at all, letting it rather speak truth without the need to approach it from a particular doctrinal position by rewording the text. Yet to understand even these FEW verses in John 1, in order to fit your theology, one has to replace scriptural text with other unstated meaning and a set of words to make it read what you want it to say. All because you can not allow scripture to contradict your view of the Father being the one and only true God.
Beside this you miss the many parallels between John 1 and Genesis 1.
You do a similar thing in regard to other texts and also in relation to the Holy Spirit [which I MAY illustrate in a future post if I think it would be of any use seeing you look at scripture through particular doctrinal (not scriptural nor inspired) “glasses”].
Pilgrim…..The same thing can be said about “in the beginning of you, the words came be you, and the word is also “with” the man “you”. Why do you think it is any different with Our God, in the “BEGINNING”, of “all” things in this earth, was the words God spoke, GENESIS 1, “AND GOD SAID” , LET THERE BE”. John was not referencing the “man” Jesus at all not or any prexisting being either, he was speaking about GOD , who first “in the biginning” “SPOKE” A “WORD”, it was GOD HIMSELF WHO SPOKE THOSE WORDS. Not another being of anykind, espically Jesus because, he was not even born yet .
All anyone has to do is simply go to GENESIS 1, and read it for himself, and you can easely know who spoke there , it was not Jesus who spoke there, it was Almighty GOD himself, who is, “the “only” true GOD”, according to Jesus, but then again you people do not truly “believe” what Jesus said do you? , or you would have apsolutely no problem understanding what John 1 is saying at all.

English uses capitals where Greek uses the definite article (the).
So what your sentence says is Jesus is the God and the Man.
This means he is God and Adam.
If you understood nature versus identity, then you could state that Jesus was god and man, that is, he is divine and also a man.
To consider this further, it is correct to say that Eve was adam but not Adam. Or that she was man, but not the man.
Most people who teach the Trinity have little understanding of the difference between identity and nature.

God saves us through the son of Jesse whom He had promised to anoint (Chrio) with His Spirit and then send this anointed (Christos) into the world to do the work of God.
Below is God’s WORD spoken by the prophet Isaiah being declared by Jesus to have been MADE TRUE IN THE FLESH,

Pilgrim, that which was from the beginning, THE WORD OF LIFE, that was WITH THE FATHER was manifested (made known to us) through the anointed Jesus of Nazareth. The anointed Jesus not only preached THE WORD OF LIFE but also THAT WORD OF LIFE became true in him when he became the first begotten of the dead, a firstborn of many brethren, receiving the glory that had been of God for mankind declared by our ONLY TRUE GOD THE FATHER from the beginning.
Eternal life that was with the Father from the beginning, a spoken promise, was preached by Jesus, and was made known as true through the witnessing of the resurrected Jesus. This Jesus was foreordained before the foundation of the world, all that our ONE TRUE GOD THE FATHER had made was created by reason of and for this man who our God had promised unto David he would be a firstborn, and a king higher than the kings of the earth (Psalm 89:27).

We are to know assuredly that even the death of this man was according to God’s foreknowledge,

As was promised David’s son would be our savior,

Our ONE TRUE GOD THE FATHER PROMISED ETERNAL LIFE, it was His WORD that was WITH Him from the beginning. IN that WORD that was WITH our Father was THE MAN APPROVED OF BY GOD, DAVID’S SEED who would be a savior. The WORD of eternal life doesn’t exist without this man who was anointed to preached it, had it become true in him, and has been appointed by our Father to give it unto his brethren. Without this WORD nothing would have been made that was made. Our Father when He formed the earth by HIMSELF He did not do so in vain, He created it so that it would be inhabited, where it would come to pass that all flesh would come to worship him (Isaiah 45:18, 66:23). Our Father made humans in His own image, and it is the Son of a Human who is returning in our Father’s glory where he will sit on his father David’s throne according to the flesh, being a Son of God according to the Spirit.
Just as eternal life unto mankind was WITH God from the beginning, so too was this son of David who God promised He would be a Father to, never taking His grace away from him, giving it for him to have for all eternity.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word (eternal life, which doesn’t exist without the man who shed his blood), and the Word (eternal life) was with God, and the Word (eternal life) was God (for eternal life comes through His Spirit, for the Spirit is righteousness and thus life). 2 He was in the beginning with God. (just as the word of eternal life was in the beginning with God, God had foreordained the man who would be anointed with His Spirit to then be sent to deliver captives) 3 All things were made through him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Isaiah 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
The light is the son of Jesse, the son of David and Abraham upon him being anointed with God’s Spirit and sent out to deliver captives, bring forth liberty. He was begotten with the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, Council and Might, Knowledge and fear of the LORD, a calling to righteousness where God directs all his ways. The people beheld this man’s glory, the glory that God had promised He would give to no other mortal man, an only begotten filled with grace and truth, a Son who only he was given the Spirit not by measure, God’s WORD MADE TRUE IN THE FLESH. This anointed man who was foreordained before the foundation of the world was God’s WORD FROM THE BEGINNING MADE TRUE IN THE FLESH.
Without eternal life there was no point in God creating the heavens and the earth, He thus created it by reason of and for this man who would shed his blood and be raised up a first begotten of the dead receiving the promised Holy Spirit and the mercies of David. Without this man nothing would have been made that was made.
Jodi…..Yes that was God the Father intention from the get go, the very start of all this creation, was to bring man into perfection, Jesus was the first of many that shall be perfected on this earth. He is God’s prototype for all mankind.
