Amen brother! Paul said that Christ is the “body.” Even the NWT says “reality.” All the “saviors” in the old testament pointed to Christ ho is the embodiment, that is the reality.
Hi Jack,I agree that many of those anointed by God in the OT were but shadows of the most important Christ, who was still yet to come into the world.
Do you agree with me that Jesus is the most important of all the ones anointed by the only true God, Jehovah?

Let me rephrase the question since you seem to be having problems with it:
Do you agree that the words in John 1:14 say “the Word BECAME flesh” – not “came to be IN someone who already was flesh“. YES or NO?

Quote Do you agree with me that Jesus is the most important of all the ones anointed by the only true God, Jehovah? Mike,
PERMIT ME TO SAY:
MORE THAN AGREE FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THAT JESUS WAS NEVER ANOINTED BY ANYONE,BUT HE IS ETERNALLY IN HIMSELF ANIONTED,AND AS YOU SAID ALL THE OTHERS WERE NOT ONLY HIS SHADOW,
BUT ANOINTED BY HIM,IN him,and for him.
Now Mike read hereunder and comment on my ststement please, for the love of JESUS THE ONLY TRUE GOD I AM THE TRUTH
1 Cor. 11:3 ….. the head of Christ is God.
SO:
With reference to the above we could conclude that as a particular man without his head is just a TRUNK, Jesus also without his head would be a TRUNK.
With the same argument a trunk with his head on becomes the complete real person in respect of the head identification, so:
Jesus’ trunk with HIS head ON (WHICH IS GOD) becomes GOD,
So Jesus is God.
PEACE AND LOVE IN JESUS
CHARLES

Not only did you begin your post by claiming the unscriptural and untrue – for Jesus is definitely the anointed one OF God, meaning that God anointed him, but then you go on to post a scripture that says GOD is the HEAD of Christ – eliminating any possibility that they are either equals or the same being.
And you end by writing some stuff that apparently only makes any sense on your planet.

so Christ could a chicken without head ?????
you are out of your mind .
wen Paul says that God is the Head of Christ he means it IN POWER ,JUST AS THE MAN IS THE HEAD OF THE WOMEN BY POWER,TO BE USED WITH GODLY LOVE.
April 28, 2012 at 6:33 pm#295383mikeboll64Blocked1 Cor 11:3
Now I want you to realise that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.Charles, does your “head/trunk” analogy work equally with the others who are mentioned in this scripture?

Hi MB,
And you think you know what is means?It is the treasure within [2cor4.7]that is the focus of scripture.
April 28, 2012 at 7:57 pm#295397mikeboll64BlockedI know what the words actually say, and believe them. You, on the other hand, don't like what the words actually teach, and so have taken it upon yourself to add words into 1:14 so it conforms better around your own imagined doctrine.
The teaching is that the one called “the Word” BECAME flesh. The teaching never was that the thing called “the Word” came to be IN somebody who already was flesh.
Nick, isn't it you who keeps spouting off about how “every word counts” and other such things? Why then would you add your own words into the God-inspired scriptures, thereby changing the entire context and meaning of those scriptures?

Hi Mike, (you attempt to build doctrine on a misunderstood verse?)Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the HolySpirit and with power:
who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil;
for God was with (in more term “IN”) him.2 Cor 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the
world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them;
and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the
Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of
myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.With μετά (met-ah')
with which it is joined;
properly, denoting accompaniment.God bless
