(aka I’ll Believe Anything),
So now you’re backing down when it comes to Cain and Abel!?
Why is that?Backing down?!?!?! You have yet to explain anything and constantly shift topics!! You are the definition of “backing down”!! When you can’t explain why you believe what you believe or support your beliefs with G-d’s words (the Tanakh…[Read more]

So now you’re backing down when it comes to Cain and Abel!?
Why is that? You’re backing down regarding David’s clothes, too—yet that isn’t symbolic; it’s not just a casual figure of speech…
Reconsider your position, DT.DesireTruth replied to the topic Daily Devotions in the forum Inspirational writings & sermons 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Where did the Cain and Abel thing come from?!?!? Talk about random!! By the way, we’ve been over this before; do you not remember?? I asked you what it meant and you couldn’t tell me! Such “strong” beliefs you have when you can’t support what you believe; we call that being gullible.
You understand Psalm 22 is poetry…right!! So the ev…[Read more]

On what occasion were David’s clothes divided?

Gen.4
And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

@Danny,
You’ve mentioned I John 2:23 twice now, what is your point? We have truth because some NT writer said by denying the “son” one automatically denies the Father? Since the Jesus isn’t The Messiah (unless you can prove he is – beliefs don’t count, evidence does) and I turn my attention to G-d alone, what need do I have of the Jesus?

No one who denies the Son has the Father. 1 John 2:23

CONTEXT IS EVERYTHING!!
Go ahead, explain what happened with David’s clothes when we shared them.
“When we shared them”, say what???

Psalm 22:16 in the Hebrew Bible (Masoretic Text) reads “like a lion, my hands and my feet” (כָּאֲרִי יָדַי וְרַגְלָי), while Christian translations often render it as “they pierced my hands and my feet”.
The Translation Difference
The Hebrew Masoretic Text: Uses the word ka’ari (כָּאֲרִי), which translates to “like a lion”. Grammatically, it la…[Read more]Berean replied to the topic One God and One Lord in the forum Bible Texts & Translations 1 month, 3 weeks ago

Blah, blah, blah; the Psalm is about David NOT the Jesus. You believe a lie!
More Parachute theology, drop in on a passage that one thinks is about the Jesus because is sounds like the Jesus. Read the entire chapter and place that single verse into the context it was written and there will be no the Jesus. Besides, Ps 22 isn’t M…[Read more]

Ps. 22:18 They parted my garments among themselves, and cast lots upon my raiment.
John 19:23] Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend…[Read more]DesireTruth replied to the topic One God and One Lord in the forum Bible Texts & Translations 1 month, 3 weeks ago
although mōtāw is grammatically plural, it does not necessarily mean the servant literally died several deaths
You are assuming the servant is a singular individual. In that case of course one can only die a single physical death; however, this isn’t about an individual; it’s about a nation – Israel. You then bring in ancient…[Read more]

Ps 22 is a Psalm by David, about David; how do you get the Jesus out of that? Oh vs16 of the king Jimmy sounds like the Jesus so it must be! More parachute theology…

Prove the Jesus IS The Messiah!!
@DT
THE ENTIRE BIBLE PROVES THAT JESUS IS THE BIBLE’S MESSIAH.
Among other things, 53:5
He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
THIS IS EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL TOWARD THE MES…[Read more]

Who is the “he”, who is the “our”?
If you can’t identify who these pronouns are, why do you believe what you believe?
Still waiting for how the Jesus fulfilled Isa 53 when he wasn’t “innocent”; he was violent, deceitful, was desired, and he wasn’t so hideous that people avoided him. I have given the passages proving the person descri…[Read more]

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him: Yes, the Messiah was stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. The prophet explains why. It was for us – for our transgressions…for our iniquities. It was in our place that the Messiah suffered.
Wounded is literally “pierced through.”
