Jesus was sent to the Jewish people and he explained the Law to them.
However he offered the kingdom to the rich young man who wanted more.
Sadly he was too enamoured with his money.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Heb 11.6
What hope do trinity believers have?

It is wonderful to be IN the faithful servant Jesus Christ and to know that he has filled all the requirements of God for us.
Of course Jesus saying “ your sins are forgiven” does not mean that Jesus has forgiven the sins but he is stating what God has done- God has wiped the conscience of the man clean just as He does for us in true baptism in…[Read more]

@Gene,
Have you read Isaiah Chapters 41-65 yet? Please read this section of Isaiah all the while paying attention to who the “servant” is. If you don’t we will continue to go in circles and I am not a fan of merry-go-rounds.
Using the handful of translations I use on a regular basis, KJV translates verse 2 in the future tense, while the other…[Read more]

You will never see written in the Bible that man is lord of the Sabbath because Jesus is lord of the Sabbath.
Only Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath and no wonder God created all things By Him and He alone can give us true rest.GeneBalthrop replied to the topic John 1:1 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 2 years, 11 months ago
Desire Truth…….It makes no difference if they are songs, if you insist that 53 is about the nation of Israel, then it is your responsibility to show us how, or in what way it fits, because I see no where in any scriptures where the nation of Israel, ever fit that description give there of a “suffering servant”, that is punished for anyone…[Read more]

To all…..Jesus said this (not me). …..“the Sabbath was made “for” man, not man for the Sabbath”. So it stands to reason if Jesus is lord of the Sabbath, then so are we. We can use the Sabbath as we see fit, if we take the Sabbath day rest our souls are refreshed, we are blessed , if we don’t, it’s our lose. God made it for us, not us for…[Read more]

Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Sabbath.
If this absolves us from the Sabbath, then what happens when we consider that Jesus is Lord of all? Are we absolved of all?
I hear you though Nick because what you say is written. But it is somewhat confusing for Believers. Especially since the Sabbath is a commandment.
Of course there is the argument…[Read more]

Knowledge is a vanity if it is not aligned with Wisdom.
Understanding with too if aligned with pathetic logic or human wisdom.
Knowing the Word is truth means we must approach it humbly and let it teach us.
There is no room for expertise for all at best are students hoping to learn .

@Gene,
Do a search on the four “Servant Songs” of Isaiah – Isaiah 42:1–4; Isaiah 49:1–6; Isaiah 50:4–11; and Isaiah 52:13–53:12 is what you will come up with. Did I come up with these as being “songs”, NO. The Jewish and Christian scholarly did, I’m just repeating what they have said. Theses “songs” are taught in both Judaism and Christianity…[Read more]
