The second century “fathers” were already corrupted by Greek philosophy through Origen et al and their words are not inspired by the Holy Spirit as those of the apostles are so we should pay no attention to them.

God does not serve the grammar expectations of men.
He is Spirit and his words are spiritual words.
Fools apply weak human measures to them and fail to grasp them.

Those who love the Word and know it is God speaking through many frail human vessels recognise the sound of a wolf ,whose only interest is fault finding, casting doubt and tearing down beauty so they can elevate themselves above the work of God.

Desire Truth……..where did Paul ever say “everything written in the New Testament must be found in the Old Testament at, I never recall reading that. As far a Jonah goes Jesus simply compared his time in the grave to the time Jonah was in the belly of the whale, he never said it was a prophesy about him. I know Paul said what they were heari…[Read more]

Isa.42
Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; And your question is when did God’s “soul” delight in Israel/Jacob.
The first part that has to be answered is who is “mine elect” or “my chosen”? According to Strong’s 972 “bachir” means chosen and other word usages are “chosen one” and “elect.” “Ba…[Read more]

You’re “shooting” the messenger; I didn’t make the claim, Paul did. I’m verifying the claim and can’t find it. Hence the question to where in the OT is Paul’s claim. So instead of answering the question, most get defensive and then combative as I ask more questions or offer explanations contrary to what is taught. If the answer is so o…[Read more]

There is much I do not understand and perhaps never will.
But I do know that the word is truth.
Vain men mock what their tiny minds cannot encompass as if they imagine they know better.

Paul is a proven servant of God.
and you?.

Maybe you can answer the question surrounding what is stated in I Cor 15:3,4 where Paul states “according to scripture” the Messiah was to die for the sins of mankind and be buried and raised from the dead after three days. Paul makes the claim and there was no NT in the first century, so Paul was speaking of it being “prophesied” in the…[Read more]

If the teachings of Paul are inspired by the Spirit
do you judge the Spirit?

Hi Gene,
And in harmony with what you wrote:‘
Who is the one who overcomes the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is the one who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with water only but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies , because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that te…[Read more]

Proclaimer……Not really, you see Jesus was the “firstborn from the dead”. That is not saying he was the firstborn being of all creation, now is it? Jesus Christ was the firstborn of “many” brethren by the resurrection from the dead, we are told. Now seeing You have moved Jesus’ identity away from yourself, So tell us what part of him you hav…[Read more]

You: “But knowing there are faults does not mean we are fit to be a judge of scripture.”
Me: I’m not “judging” scripture, I am pointing out the corruption of the translators; if the tenses, plurality, or the punctuation is changed anywhere, the meaning can be changed and a bias inserted. The fact the translators of the KJ changed t…[Read more]

Nothing in your reply have you proved or explained anything; pointy fingers, pointing at existing words, does not offer proof or an explanation to what the words are trying to convey. Am I suppose to translate pointy fingers to mean Jesus? Explain how these verses in Isa 42:1-4 (first “servant song”) ARE a reference to Jes…[Read more]

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands, and they cry out with a loud voice , saying.

Short answer NO.
Rebirth of water and the Spirit is the gateway into the first resurrection and the Millenial Kingdom.
But few will find that narrow path.
Most will be saved by the pure mercy of God after the second resurrection.

Truly, truly I say to you, he who loves my Word and believes Him Who sent me, has eternal life and does not come into judgement, but has passed out of death into life.

Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, for He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a man He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising him from the dead.
