I find myself separating myself from many congregations and old aquaintances and guarding my tongue more and more. I
fear when I let man get between my mind and Jesus Christ my
path has become clouded and confused. Is this sybolistic to what moses was experiencing when he said separate yourself from the congregation?

Some how I don't feel I have a clear thought about love and fear in the same place. I've never understood that concept
as applied to me. I've always believed and had faith, I have never doubted God or the fact that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. It just took me forty-two years to become spiritually broken to the point where I didn't have a passion for anything inlife anymore. I felt like a complete loser and failure and could see no reason for going on. At this point God directed a very special man into my life to mentor me in Christian leadership or maybe just fellowship at first. I struggled and rebelled for a rocky year and a half, but looking back after one year I could see a miracle happen! There was a unbelievable change occurring and I became more and more obediant to the daily scripture readings. I realized one day that anything is possible when you wait on God and let Him direct your life. He opens your eyes to how the the world really is and how deceitful our hearts are without him. Back to the original point. My deepest fear is having to go back and exist for one day without God now that He's become my loving Father.

As a musician I understand your points. Been there and lived
it for many years. When God came back into my life after twenty five years he slowly changed my desires and passions from unGodly things to things with a Godly purpose. It didn't happen over night but over a two year period has opened my eyes, given me a consistancy to live and seek God on a daily basis. My worst struggling day now is better than my best day
I ever had with out God. God has came from within and changed my desires from within that I couldn't change in forty years of trying on my own!!! Addiction of worldly things is more common than you think. We just notice the radical addictions like alc. drugs, carnal and gambling. Trying to fill a void or hole that never gets filled no matter how hard you try,
    that's addiction to me.

Am I correct in thinking that with the Holy spirit and a God inspired Holy Bible I won't need to wonder about these kinds of thoughts?

    Hi Nick,
God our Father sends a big part of himself down as flesh in Jesus Christ.
God sends a piece of His spirit down to us when we seek and trust in Him. That's the Holy Spirit. It seems to me God sent Jesus to connect us to Him, Jesus being the Mediator between us and God. He sends a part of Himself in spirit to us when we seek Him to help educate and Guide Us, the Holy Spirit, right. 3 in1 right. Serving three different purposes but all part of 1 our Heavenly Father.

Ephesians 4 (unity in the body of Christ) helps me alot when the Devil is trying to get a foothold.

What makes us shout and be emotional? For me personally I
must look within when this happens to me. It's like God is trying to get my attention so that He can teach me a lesson
on something that I may be sensitive about.
I know that I should love my neighbors, should be spiritually broken and in mourning for my sins. Furthermore I realize my inner wisdom will keep growing as I mature as a Christian so I may feel different tommorrow about what is discussed today. Taking James 1:19 into account I wonder
if I should waste my energies when a discussion becomes a arguement and becomes personal. Lately I've chosen to step back and take the issue to scripture and prayer. God always
seems to be working on us from both ends.
