t8, did the Word come into existence when he was begotten by God?
It matters not regarding the two scriptures I give you. I believe he came into existence by God, but I am asking you for an explanation as to how you can keep these two scripture from contradicting your view that is all. I have already explained my view to you. That to be created is…[Read more]

Okay terraricca, if we accept that the Word is created, then these two scriptures have to be wrong.
John 1:1-3
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
4 In him was life, and that li…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic What does it mean that Jesus came in the flesh? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 12 years, 1 month ago
I will make it even simpler for you @Mikeboll64
Q: Was the Word created?
If you say yes, then you have a problem as to how the Word was created through the Word.
If you say no, and if Jesus is the Word, then you admit that he was not created.

So if the scripture says “EVERYTHING” was created through Jesus/The Word, then isn’t it equally clear that Jesus/The Word is EXCLUDED from the “EVERYTHING”?
I will explain it again so you don’t overlook it.
You believe Jesus was made/created. He is a created being thus he was created.
But we are clearly told that ALL that was created/ma…[Read more]

Read 1 Cor 8:6. It is the same “ALL THINGS” that came from God which also came through our Lord, Jesus Christ. Now since it’s clear that God Himself is NOT one of the “ALL THINGS”…

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,
This is how we are one with God. By our spirits being united with his Spirit.
It is this union that is eternal life. Rivers of life flowing from our inner most being.Proclaimer replied to the topic in the forum Free Will? 12 years, 1 month ago
It is very clear from scriptures that we have free will
Note how many promises of God begin with “if” or “whosoever”
How many incredible promises are available that should we choose to believe them, our lives would truly glorify God
Agreed. Some would have us believe that this doesn’t actually mean anything.

Thanks terraricca.

Gene, why do you bother to convince us we have no free will. You obviously expect us to be able to freely choose your view based on the evidence you present to us. And if we did choose to align with your view, then in deed that is a demonstration of someone choosing freely among the options presented to him. So why even bother? What you are trying…[Read more]

When I look at your view of Jesus Christ in its entirety I am confused about the following. Perhaps you can clear this up for me. I apologise if you have already done this elsewhere. Also, correct me if I am wrong in representing your views.
You believe:
- The Word that was with God had a beginning.
- Jesus is the Word that was with…

A must answer question:
Did you know that Jesus was already announced as Lord on the day when He was born as a man?I am not sure exactly when he became Lord. But I know that God made him Lord.
Whether we think he was Lord when he was the Word or Lord when he first gathered disciples around him, the fact remains he is Lord because God made him Lord.Proclaimer replied to the topic in the forum Proclaimer 12 years, 1 month ago

Well these things are not spelled out for us, but it says, “The Lord is the Spirit”. So believe that.
And God is the God of the living, so I don’t think any part of him is dead or non-living.

Very well put, and that is the truth.
One can only enjoy living in sin for a short time, and then comes all
the problems. And then death, and then the judgement.
And then ,the lake of fire.
wakeup.
Thanks Wakeup.
Blessings to you in Yeshua’s name.
