So personal attack and accusations aside, we are in agreement that 8 inches per mile squared is the correct calculation – up to 1000 miles. That is a big step in the right direction.
At this stage, I assume it is correct up to a point. Cannot tell you at what distance (if at all) when it becomes inaccurate.
For all I know, it could be like a c…[Read more]

Hi T8,
You are not yet 50 years old, and have you seen Abraham?
Therefore they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
You keep poor company and seem to hate your brothersHi Nick.
Truth can seem like hate to people on the wrong side of it, I agree. But it is not hate, rather it is love that warns…[Read more]

If a person claims the Spirit revealed to him that Jesus was not born the Christ in Bethelem, and scripture teaches he was and the translation is correct, then you logically have to question the source of the revelation.

The circumference of the Earth
DIG SAID: Are you suggesting that the surface of a ball will appear flat because all points are the same distance from the center? Really? I’m looking at a ball now and I see curve.
Let me point out the obvious: SCALE.
Now for a breakdown.
The circumference of a basketball is about 75 centimeters.
The c…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic Mikeboll's belief in a flat world in the forum View Points 7 years, 10 months ago
I’m just pointing out that the guy in the video I posted says that typical calculation for curvature is only good for short distances. Also, I am not sure if the calculators use this equation rather than the more complex accurate one. Did you watch the video? If not, then what I am saying won’t make sense.

Hi guys.
Does the guy in this video have a point?
He basically says the usual calculation for the Earth’s curvature is not accurate. It is an easy estimate for short distances only.

Look at the tagline for the site.
Hold firmly to the truth, encourage by sound doctrine, & refute those who oppose it.
If you cannot handle this, then you are in the wrong forum.

Funny that. Cannot give a straight answer. Instead accuses other people to divert from attending to matters pertaining to himself. A tactic as old as Adam himself.
And the man answered, “The woman whom You gave me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” “The serpent d…[Read more]

So Jesus is a bully because he said:
“But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one”
Because I am saying exactly what he said.
And what of all the accusations you have leveled against the members here over the years? Not bullying? What do you call that then? Accusations?

Well the choice is either Nick or Jesus is dodgy. Take you pick. I know who I am with.
Jesus said: “But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one”
Nick basically says: I will not answer yes or no to a yes no question, instead I will give you more than that so that I do not have to say ‘no…[Read more]

As for the hate accusations. I can tell you now that it is love to warn people of things. Hate can show itself as letting a person walk toward destruction.
If I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ but you do not speak out to dissuade him from his way, then that wicked man will die in his iniquity, yet I will hold you acc…[Read more]

Couldn’t care what the Pharisees thought. I believe in Jesus, the one born the Christ.
He said, ‘ego eimi’ so don’t blame me. As a follower of him, it should come as no surprise that I believe his words and claims. It seems the Jesus you teach did not say this and nor was he born the Christ. Another Jesus? Some food for thought.

Dodgy. Cannot say yes or no.

Was Jesus born the Christ?
Yes or no.
Anything else is from a dodgy source.
Proclaimer replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 7 years, 10 months ago
ego eimi (Ancient Greek: ἐγώ εἰμί Greek pronunciation: ) “I am”, “I exist”, is the first person singular present tense of the verb “to be” in ancient Greek.
Before Abraham, Jesus claimed existence by saying “I am”.
When we talk of ego we talk of self. So an egotistical person is one who believes they are self important.

Yes. For example. If a person claims the Spirit revealed to him that Jesus was not born the Christ, and scripture teaches he was and the translation is correct, then you logically have to question the source of the revelation.

Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem.
Do you think this implies something about an anointing prior to his birth?
Your questions and accusations are manufactured in your own head. Quote me before accusing me of anything.
So you now believe that Jesus was born the Christ, the Lord, and the son of God?

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”

But if the word revealed opposes scripture, then the source of the revelation is in question.
