Well you are free to believe that a literal snake spoke to Eve, but there are many ways of interpreting this including that to Satan using a snake as a puppet or a physical thing so Eve wasn’t speaking to a spirit. Not sure. Could be. Certainly God had a plan of salvation before the world, that is what I think. It seems inevitable that there was always a plan given free will and eternity.

As for the specifics, these could be more recent rather than before the world.
