For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
He emptied himself and came as a man (in the flesh).
Now he is in the glory that he had with the Father before the cosmos.
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,
And what kind of body will we have?
One like his. We will be like…[Read more]

Haha yeah, I went to this page and made a comment on all the topics listed.
The real reason being to fix an issue where the amount of ‘voices’ were being listed as 0. Making a comment counted the ‘voices’ and listed the correct number.
This was a throwback to when I converted the forum to this new platform and some of…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic Conception in the forum Scriptural Teachings 6 years, 5 months ago
We have the freedom to make choices indeed, but that which we choose is by reason of INFLUENCE.
We are free to choose either the lusts of the flesh or the leading by the Spirit.
If there was no leading of the Spirit, then we would be slaves to the flesh nature.
If there was no sinful flesh, then we could be led by the Spirit unhindered.
But we…[Read more]

He wasn’t born being a king, but they called him that because of prophecy, where they believed he would eventually become a king.
He was the king. Just takes more time for some to realise it.

The origin/genesis of Jesus we are told in Matthew 1 is him being of Abraham and David’s genes.
Still doesn’t negate his origin.
If he was born like us into this world, then yes he will have a genealogical history like all of us. Except of course, his is special because of who he was and is.
But that exists and is in line with his origin.

He came in the flesh thus he was a man.
Do you not believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh?

All these things about Jesus birth, childhood, and life are true.
None of these negates his origin.
He came in the flesh to become one of us, so we could be born again and become like him, the son of God.
Through him God created the universe.

This doesn’t negate what is written about him before the baptism of John.

Do we agree that the Spirit of the Lord that is upon Jesus is that which came down like a dove upon him at his baptism?
I agree with that.

If Christ be nothing more than a creature like ourselves then our salvation is truly by our own freewill. And maybe that really is the truth?
That doesn’t look like something I would have written. I cannot find the actual post, so cannot see the context.

He is called the Word of God, so not a mere creature only.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit makes us one with God.
When we are baptised in water, we receive the Holy Spirit.
But God can give us the Holy Spirit regardless.

The Word is the Spirit of Christ that was in the prophets.
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Basically… The ontological Trinity is the Trinity as it exists of itself apart from God’s relation to the world. The economic Trinity has reference to the different roles played by the persons of the Trinity in relation to the world and especially in the plan of salvation. In this economic Trinity there is a type of voluntary submission of on…

God is holy and he is spirit.
The Holy Spirit.
If the Holy Spirit is another person, then there are two Holy Spirits.
Polytheism.
