BTW, t8, I find it kind of strange that you are so willing to believe that Paul would all of the sudden call satan the “god of this world” when you completely dispute Jesus as being called theos in John 1:1 even when claiming to believe that all things were made by Him.s
It’s as strange as believing that the Father is God and the father of lie…[Read more]

And about this oneness you mention:
“I and the Father are one”. Does this mean they are the same being or God?
I made it clear in my post that it is speaking of two or more becoming one in unity. Not one as in the same being.
As for me asking the question about Jesus, I am simply asking who you think Jesus is. It should require less than 2 minu…[Read more]

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
LU. You teach against eternal life.

Without wasting my time with frivolous claims, I will object with one word, ‘parabola’. If this has been taken into consideration and the evidence still stands, let me know and I’ll look into it.

So I believe I am correctly and consistently understanding what Jesus meant when He said I AM and that this is demonstrated in the references you gave including John 8:58
I agree that Jesus is the bread of life, light of the world, and all the other things you quoted from scripture. But that doesn’t make him, the “I Am” of scripture because he…[Read more]

But I was sure that you understood T8 that when Jesus spoke He always spoke the Truth, He being the Truth. He was not a liar like the Jews. Jesus spoke the Truth about who He was and from where He came. When He said I and the Father are one, this is the Truth. Whether it was to the blind man of John 9 or when questioned at his trial…

In conclusion, then, I submit that the most likely meaning that may be assigned to Paul’s expression o& qeoV” tou~ ai*w~no” is that by it he was referring to the God of Paul’s Judeo- Christian heritage, and not to the devil. This conclusion is to be preferred because it is exegetically sound, traditionally attested, theologically uncompl…

The apostles prayed to YHVH, the unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
Your making this up yourself. Jesus taught us to pray in his name, but to the Father. When will you agree with Jesus?
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward…[Read more]

God speaks truth and Jesus is the truth. I’ve said it for years, if people understood the difference between an attribute and a person, then most debates here would be unnecessary.

The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
So the Holy Spirit fathered Jesus, thus he is his own Father. Whereas if the Holy Spirit is the Father’s own spirit, then it makes sense.

Hi @Pilgrim
However, in all the references you gave or alluded to, the I am statements are in the context of the the person identifying themselves as someone or something. E.g. Gabriel is saying I am Gabriel, the blind man is saying I am the man that was born blind, Peter is saying I am the man you seek. The many times Jesus says “I am” rel…

Looks like the Flat Earthers lost this debate. But we all knew that would happen.
Like the Trinitarians who came here and lost too. They just left in the end rather than acknowledge the evidence and proof they were given.

Take another scripture you wrongly interpret. “Abraham rejoiced to see” Christ’s day: “and he saw it, and was glad.” “Then said the Jews unto him, You art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him” (John 8:56-59).…

Interesting. I always thought they were endemic to Australia, so I googled it. This is what I found:
The birds called magpies in Australia are, however, not related to the magpies in the rest of the world (see Australian magpie).
Australian fauna is amazing. They seem to have the equivalent animal elsewhere, but are not related whatsoever.
