Yes love our enemies. But do not hold to their doctrine and do not do as they do. Love also encompasses judgement.

I agree. Please do not take everything I say as an accusation. I make general statements which I believe to be true in general and say them for you and for the other readers. It is up to the reader to agree or disagree with my words and if they feel convicted by them, then perhaps that person can do something about it. Otherwise if you believe…[Read more]

In the other occasions in Ch 10, they tried to sieze and even stone Him for saying:”I and the father are One” vs 30″the Father is in me, and I in the Father” vs 38The high…[Read more]

To me these 2 versions say different things.NIVHe is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. NASBHe is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. One version says that Jesus is of creation and the other says that he is over it. I think the NIV is the more accurate when we look at the context of other…[Read more]

If salvation is a free gift, then perhaps baptism is how we receive it.

Quote (Nick Hassan @ Aug. 04 2004,00:07)Acts 10 .47. You ask how is it that a man can receive the Spirit prior to salvation and thus how is it that baptism is required. God is sovereign. The importance is shown by Peter's immediate response. “He gave orders that they be baptised in the name of Jesus” He knew it was essential and that God had the…[Read more]

Not sure, but if it is the moment that Jesus takes political control, then we will no longer marry during the Millenium. If this is the case, then perhaps this applies to those of the first resurrection and there maybe others who marry and/or born during the Millenium. Whatever the case, I eagerly look forward to this time.

Yeah I think that the millenial reign is on this earth and it is the sabbath day (thousand years 1 day). But when Jesus talks about the Age to Come, I am not sure if that includes the Millenium or whether the Millenium is part of this age. Is the Sabbath day part of the old week or the beginning of a new one?

Acts 10:47″Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.”How is this possible if baptism is necessary for salvation? How can God's Spirit be received by a man who is not baptized and therefore not saved according to your teaching.?Salvation scriptures that do not include…[Read more]

Quote (Is 1:18 @ Aug. 02 2004,08:58)Why must you be the source of all that is good to be good? If Jesus was tempted in every way we are, yet without sin (Heb 4:15) then he must be considered good. Why not credit Him for this?I did that in the last part of the post.We become good ourselves when that which God gives us becomes our character and…[Read more]

Sorry if I come across as harsh, but I also question myself with the same vigour. I often ask myself how I would have reacted to a dude clothed in a poor cloke who questioned the religious structure of the day. Bearing in mind that there is so much stuff about Jesus today and many believers. Back then he started from zero reputation and as it is…[Read more]
