To WIT,Quote (WhatIsTrue @ Jan. 05 2005,17:49)Firstly, he created it, and secondly he has been given all authority over heaven and earth by the Father.  Is that a fair assessment of your beliefs? It was God who created the universe, but he did it through his Son. That is what I teach. How God created the universe through his son is beyond my…[Read more]

Even though I was aware of it, it has just struck me more deeply that the last enemy being destroyed and the resurrection of believers seem intertwined.1 Corinthians 15:26The last enemy to be destroyed is death.Hebrews 1:13To which of the angels did God ever say, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet” Also see…[Read more]

God wants to dwell in all of his creation, but he cannot dwell in sinful vessels. But the plan of God is to put all things under the feet of his son and then when all enemies have been conquered, the son will give back the kingdom to his Father, so that God can dwell in all. So to say that the Spirit has been withdrawn is to truly not understand…[Read more]

It amazes me that men cannot accept that Jesus is the Christ and the son of God. Man has to change the truth of God for the lies of men. What's the point? What benefit is there in believing in lies? The truth about who Jesus/Yeshua seems to be under the severest of attacks. But the truth as delivered by Christ and his disciples was simple and…[Read more]

To WIT, Quote (WhatIsTrue @ Jan. 04 2005,14:01)It is intersting to note that the idea that we are all gods comes from the mysterious gospel of John.  According to many translation notes, the psalm passage being quoted is in references to judges or rulers, and if you read the whole psalm it is clearly about men ruling unjustly, (i.e. it's about…[Read more]

To WIT, Quote (WhatIsTrue @ Jan. 04 2005,14:01)Does that sound like a reference to an agent to you, or does it sound like something the Almighty did Himself?  For example, if someone said, “George Bush, on his own two feet, invaded Iraq”, would you think that that person was referring to agents of George Bush or George Bush himself? What about…[Read more]

Hi Nick, From what I can tell I think the following can be applied to the questions you raised. Why is it a woman?Perhaps because all those that love, worship and serve a god are referred to in a feminine sense. E.g. We are the bride of Christ and Jesus is our bridegroom. We are also referred to as virgins and virgins remain pure till they are…[Read more]

Hi Nick,Yes I also wonder about Martin Luther. Was he of God or of himself. Yes he helped to show the people that the Catholic Church was corrupt and he did restore some much needed doctrine. But as far as I can tell, he still upheld the Trinity doctrine and other Catholic doctrines. Does anyone else have more info regarding this?

Here is a scripture for those who say Christ is just a man who didn't pre-exist before his time on earth.John 16:27-28 27 No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.” Notice that Jesus c…[Read more]

Quote (WhatIsTrue @ Dec. 19 2004,14:04)I am glad that you bring this up. What exactly does it mean to create something through somebody else? Does it mean, by your understanding, that “Jesus” actually did the work of creation, and God only commanded it? In other words, “Jesus” hung the stars in place, laid the foundation of the world, and…[Read more]

Here is another scripture confirming that our salvation is dependant on us remaining in Christ.2 John 1:9Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

Yes Jesus himself taught that no man can see God and when scriptures talk about a man seeing God, it is God's glory that they are seeing. Quote (WhatIsTrue @ Dec. 19 2004,14:04)Nick and T8,I beg you both to plainly declare your faith.  Either stand by the statement, “I serve two gods”, or reject it.  If you do reject it, I would like to know why, since you both believe that “Jesus” is a god by his initial birth, and was only temporarily a man.  But if that is your faith, please ju…[Read more]

Hi Nick, I thought about this and I think the difference lies in who we are addressing. If we are addressing believers who are already baptized into Christ, then we talk about things like continuing in the faith, overcoming and belief etc. We should just as the biblical writers did, be free to teach such things. If however our audience is not…[Read more]
