To trettep, I would say that we can be saved now. But that we can lose it. If we hold onto it till we die then we cannot lose it after that.Revelation 3:5He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. So we must overcome, but…[Read more]

An Iranian Moslem I knew who came to New Zealand was converted to Christ. He believed that Jesus Christ was the son of God and the messiah. He believed all the gospel message and was willing with repentance. However this really unthoughtful christian told him that he must also believe in the Trinity Doctrine to be a true christian. My friend said…[Read more]

Yes that is certainly true. Well said. Our words are powerful and we are judged by them. False belief causes people to speak false things. This is how the Father of Lies creates abominations through mankind. When a man flies a plane into a building and cries out Allah, he finds himself in torment, not Heaven. False prophets and doctrine cause men to…[Read more]

She is a lawyer in Colombia (a dangerous occupation) and needs to upgrade certain areas to practice law here. She still finds it amazing how safe it is here. Even…[Read more]

Luke 19:9Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.2 Corinthians 6:2For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.Ephesians 6:17Take the helmet of salvation and the s…[Read more]

Quote (stroshow @ Mar. 27 2005,16:54)Nick, thats fine if you think that.. But my point is how could the Holy spirit be gods spirit, send people, forbid people, speak on its own? To me that sounds like a person… Are u just dismissing those Scriptures? There is a scripture that says that “the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is…[Read more]

Seriously though, the original post I read was an entire sentence with one unintelligible word in it. This sentence agreed with me, then you changed it. But whatever the reason, I really don't care that much. If I have upset you, then yes I do apologise. Hi Cubes, I use to fellowship within a Vineyard here in NZ. I have to say that I found many of the people there to be wonderful and I did see a lot of evidence of God at work in people's lives. But I was never interested in the denomination itself, but I truly had great fellowship there with many. But there were also people there that I didn't…[Read more]

To Modem Mouth, Baptise or not to baptise? My view is that those who have the Spirit of God belong to God. God simply cannot indwell a sinful creature. We must either be perfect or redeemed to have the priviledge of God dwelling in us.Of course it is essential that we believe in who Jesus is and what he has done. It is also essential that we obey…[Read more]

To trettep,Quote (trettep @ Mar. 24 2005,18:53)Yes the gifts of the Spirit are given to edify the Church. I have a belief about something as well along those lines. That because the Church is so scattered that some of those gifts are not given as a result of that. For example, assume for a minute that all of us on the forum were called into…[Read more]

Quote (trettep @ Mar. 24 2005,20:05)Yes God will give whatever we ask according to His will so long as we believe that he will. Its all about Faith! God really wants us to believe without miracles and signs and wonders. Wants us to believe in the message and then show that belief.Amen.

I am enthusiastic with Revelation and the 2 witnesses. Does anyone else think the 2 witnesses are 2 men?Does anyone think that the 144,000 are also men?Nick, I did a search on Bible Gateway under the keyword “witnesses” and in all cases (as it appeared to me) it was speaking of men. There were not that many verses so all of them can be read in a…[Read more]
