Quote (stroshow @ Mar. 27 2005,16:54)Nick, thats fine if you think that.. But my point is how could the Holy spirit be gods spirit, send people, forbid people, speak on its own? To me that sounds like a person… Are u just dismissing those Scriptures? There is a scripture that says that “the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is…[Read more]

Seriously though, the original post I read was an entire sentence with one unintelligible word in it. This sentence agreed with me, then you changed it. But whatever the reason, I really don't care that much. If I have upset you, then yes I do apologise. Hi Cubes, I use to fellowship within a Vineyard here in NZ. I have to say that I found many of the people there to be wonderful and I did see a lot of evidence of God at work in people's lives. But I was never interested in the denomination itself, but I truly had great fellowship there with many. But there were also people there that I didn't…[Read more]

To Modem Mouth, Baptise or not to baptise? My view is that those who have the Spirit of God belong to God. God simply cannot indwell a sinful creature. We must either be perfect or redeemed to have the priviledge of God dwelling in us.Of course it is essential that we believe in who Jesus is and what he has done. It is also essential that we obey…[Read more]

Cool idea to start up this discussion Cubes.Yeah I live in Wellington the capital city of New Zealand. I have also lived in Australia, England and Colombia.I am married and we have no pets currently. We do too much travel at this time of our lives, but would love to get 2 dogs and a cat later on. In fact I really have a soft spot for animals.…[Read more]

To trettep,Quote (trettep @ Mar. 24 2005,18:53)Yes the gifts of the Spirit are given to edify the Church. I have a belief about something as well along those lines. That because the Church is so scattered that some of those gifts are not given as a result of that. For example, assume for a minute that all of us on the forum were called into…[Read more]

Quote (trettep @ Mar. 24 2005,20:05)Yes God will give whatever we ask according to His will so long as we believe that he will. Its all about Faith! God really wants us to believe without miracles and signs and wonders. Wants us to believe in the message and then show that belief.Amen.

I am enthusiastic with Revelation and the 2 witnesses. Does anyone else think the 2 witnesses are 2 men?Does anyone think that the 144,000 are also men?Nick, I did a search on Bible Gateway under the keyword “witnesses” and in all cases (as it appeared to me) it was speaking of men. There were not that many verses so all of them can be read in a…[Read more]

Quote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 26 2005,03:16)Hi t8 and MM,Jesus, clearly, is not The Spirit. The Spirit of God was sent by the Father and filled Jesus. So, as you say, this verse can only refer to the Father, who IS Spirit.I agree with your view.

But did the Holy Spirit take on the form of a donkey? No. God spoke through that animal to the prophet.I think the difference is that God can speak through anyone or anything.
