Hi Ed,
Do you think that fulfilling all the commandments was impossible for an ordinary man?
Did you doubt the plan of God was feasible?

Hi Gene,
Good call.
Blessings.

Hi Jodi,
So the vital attack by Satan on Eve was that on her faith.
Doubting the word of God was the critical temptation.
She succumbed to that and the rest was easy for Satan.
Encourage independent thought and self will. Victory.
Adam possibly was divided but chose his alliance with his wife perhaps to share the blame?
NickHassan replied to the topic The serpent in the Garden of Eden in the forum Truth or Tradition 8 years, 3 months ago
Hi Jodi,
You adapt, add to, remove from and misconstrue scripture
and yet judge others for misunderstanding it?
The original is best.
NickHassan replied to the topic The serpent in the Garden of Eden in the forum Truth or Tradition 8 years, 3 months ago
Hi Jodi,
According to scripture the first response of Eve to the question of the serpent was to reiterate what God had instructed them.
The temptation of the devil was to question the truth of what God had said-
“ye shall not surely die”
and to offer her new information-
”your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and e…[Read more]

Hi Jodi,
Exchanging words is your thing but taking away from what is written is anathema.
NickHassan replied to the topic The serpent in the Garden of Eden in the forum Truth or Tradition 8 years, 3 months ago
Hi Jodi,
Of course Jesus was speaking to a satan in Peter.
A satan that preferred service towards man to that towards God.
Humanism still has a big following.
NickHassan replied to the topic The serpent in the Garden of Eden in the forum Truth or Tradition 8 years, 3 months ago
Hi Jodi,
There is no doubt that temptation comes from within.
Man is a vessel for all sorts of vipers.
NickHassan replied to the topic The serpent in the Garden of Eden in the forum Truth or Tradition 8 years, 3 months ago
Hi Jodi,
Eve was like a wild beast?
No you should not add to scripture.
NickHassan replied to the topic The serpent in the Garden of Eden in the forum Truth or Tradition 8 years, 3 months ago
Hi. Jodi,
I know you are stuck in your dogmatic groove but the enmity spoken of in Ephesians, in context, is between Jews and gentiles.
NickHassan replied to the topic The serpent in the Garden of Eden in the forum Truth or Tradition 8 years, 3 months ago
Hi Jodi,
The NEW MAN is Christ Jesus.
The OLD MAN is occupied by LEGIONS of Satan’s servants.
Children of the devil, unwittingly led by the wicked one, the god of this world.

Hi Jodi,
Because the carnal mind is ENMITY against God.
Rom 8.7
The word used is the same.
But clearly there is no relationship with the meaning of Eph 2.15
Please be careful handling the sacred words.
NickHassan replied to the topic The serpent in the Garden of Eden in the forum Truth or Tradition 8 years, 3 months ago
Hi Jodi,
So the ENMITY spoken of in Eph2.15 is between Jews and Gentiles, the Law, with the touchstone of circumcision, is superseded by the Law of the Spirit in the ONE Body of Christ.

Hi Jodi,
Out of the mouth comes what the heart is full of.
Whited sepulchres full of dead men’s bones.
Man is a vessel for sin in the flesh.
Either he produces fruit from the Spirit of God or he is a son of Satan producing evil fruit.
Two choices.

Hi Ed,
Rev 21.1
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

God sent His Son in the likeness of sinful flesh.Rom 8.3
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me on my throne, even as I overcame, and am set down with my Father in His throne. Rev 3.21

Hi Jodi,
Eph 2.11
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called uncircumcision by that which is called the circumcision, in the flesh made by hands.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in his flesh the…[Read more]

Hi Ed,
By grace we have been saved.
His bread was the word. He drew near to God.
His faithful Father God was with him, encouraging and disciplining him.

Hi Jodi,
He that soweth the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one. The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire,…[Read more]

Hi Jodi,
You look at the meanings of words such as devil and Satan
and because they can be used for humans too
you seem to assume that they always do.
False teaching.
