Wrong Gene, I worship the only begotten Son of God who always existed and is Jehovah our Righteousness. Adam was not the only begotten, he was the f…[Read more]

Admin,
Not sure why it is doing that. I will look into it.
It is doing that in the Firstborn of all creation thread also.

Jodi,
Your theology says that there was a time when Jesus was not yet the Son of God. Your theology says that there was a time when Jesus was not yet the Messiah.
I believe that there never was a time when Jesus was not the Son of God. I believe Jesus has been the Messiah since before the foundation of the world.
We see through different…[Read more]

Nick,
you said:
Jesus Christ is the HEAD of his body, the church.
In submitting to his headship we give up our own selfishness and independence.
Only the work he does through us has any relevance.
To you Jesus is just a man, now a saint in heaven. If he is just a man, he cannot be more than one place at a time. Why doesn’t the Father work…[Read more]

Jodi,
I’m not depending on the writings of the early Greek church fathers for my understanding. I found my understanding in scripture.

Nick,
you said (numbers added):
1.The body of Christ includes all who have been reborn into him of water, in his name, and the Spirit.
2.The head is the Master of the Body and being ‘ beheaded’ that he might rule in us is essential.
3.We depend on him for guidance and leadership and he needs us to do his work here too.

Hi Gene,
Isaiah 42:8I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise unto graven images.
Jeremiah 23:6 6In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.
Jehovah is the God of gods (Father) and the Lord of…[Read more]

Nick,
This passage does not mention repentence and water baptism as needed first.
Romans 10: 1Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. 2For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. 3For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own…

Hi Jodi,
Just this for now because it is late…
5Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later; 6but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

Nick,
You are avoiding the answer. How do you obey the two commands? Do you love the Son as yourself or as your Lord?

Hi Dig4truth,
I didn’t think you did that intentionally and I totally understand. Sometimes our devices seem to have a mind of their own, ha.
Do you think it is possible that the Light of day one which was likely ‘begotten’ not created, could be the begetting of the Son who is from eternity?

You have rightly said that they are distinct. Jehovah is both God and Lord, however.

That’s right Nick and every knee bowing and calling him Lord Jehovah is going to fulfill the scriptures too.
Realize that the Son of God emptied Himself in order to become a man. After the resurrection, the Father gave up all His authority over heaven and earth to His Son till the Son destroys all His enemies. That’s huge!
