Hi all,Jesus is either equal to His Father or He is not. You can't have it both ways. Lets say that He is not equal then He certainly does not want to be made out to be equal or worshipped as equal, no way! That would make Him more like satan that thought he could be equal to the Most High God when he indeed wasn't. The actual words of Christ…[Read more]

Hi Irene,I can hear you loud and clear. I think that I only have one place for my mic to plug into. Maybe it doesn't work.

Hello to all,Guess what, I'm set up with Ventrilo and no one else is on it now and I can't test it. It was pretty easy, thanks Samuel for good directions. You are pretty savvy with computers! If this works, it would be really neat to get to know ya'll in a whole new way.

Hey Mandy,Are you charging for this taxi service? If I was, I'd be rich but then again I would have to drive passengers that could actually pay me. G'nite for real this time:)

Truthfully tho, I would have each one of them again. They are my wealth and God has faithfully provided for our one income family. Thrift store clothes are cooooool don't ya know? Hi Nick,We know that the Holy Spirit enables us and others to show the power of God. Without the enabling of the Holy Spirit we are powerless. So, I would say that the Spirit of God enables the worker of God, His “arm” in any particular situation, (whether it be Moses, or the Son, or us) to show the power of God.Rom 15:17-1917 Therefore in…[Read more]

Hi Nick,You are right, I just noticed this thread. I think that the arm of the Lord can be referring to the Son of God-Jesus. Is it always referring to Him or maybe Moses or Israel, or others that are carrying out the LORD's work? What do you think?Isa 51:8-119 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; Awake as in the days of old, th…[Read more]

Hi Martian,You give alot of information. My brain's hurting. I know that takes alot of your time and I appreciate your effort. I am getting the impression that you are not satisfied with the modern English translations of the Bible. It seems to me that you think that most of the translations say one thing but really should say something else.…[Read more]

Hi Martian,These are the Bibles and some scholars that translate this word as “by” ESV, NASB, KJV, NAS, NKJV, NIV. Matthew Henry, Barnes, Adam Clarke. It is translated in the New Testament as “in” the most and “by” a substantial number of times as well. I think that both have credibility. As far as in the verse Col 1:16, I find it as “by” more…[Read more]

Dear Martian,AT Robertson and Westcot and Hort differ from others on whether en is by or in so that is not reliable is it?
Lightenup replied to the topic in the forum The Trinity Doctrine 18 years, 5 months ago
So Martian,I would suppose these conclusions to be a theory since there were no witnesses. The writer didn't write from experience or understanding because how would he write about the sun being put in the sky with understanding or any of it for that matter? How did the writer get this info to write down. Did he write verbatim, word for word, or…[Read more]

Hi Nick,Isa 51:9-16My point regarding Isa 51:9-16 and 1 Cor 10:1-5 is not that Christ is the LORD, the Most High God in these passages but that He was the Son of God as a heavenly body used by the LORD to speak for Him and to do things for Him. Christ was used to speak for the LORD even in the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. He was…[Read more]

So Nick,So are you suggesting that this is merely speaking of the Holy Spirit and not of the Son? We know that the Son of God was used in creation to establish the heavens and found the earth. It is a vessel that God puts His words in their mouth. The Holy Spirit is not a vessel that speaks for God but the inspiration given to others to speak…[Read more]

Quote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 30 2008,17:12)I believe this speaks of God Himself in the vessel of the Son. The people belonged to God as His chosen people and not to Jesus who had not been born and is not said to have had any prior relationship with them. Christ was the lamp that shed the light. Thus he too can be called the light of the world.Nick,…[Read more]
