Hi Keith,I have not scrapped my theory.  I believe that the Son of God was a person from His beginning.  I don't believe He had a created beginning, nor an uncreated beginning, but He likely had a beginning. The angel said that he would be called the Son of God in the future sense, I'm fine with that, but that does not mean that He wasn't the Son o…[Read more]

Irene,Isn't the important thing that they do worship whether in front of the cross or not?  Keep the main thing, the main thing…they are worshipping God at the foot of a cross…Mary did also.  They are not worshipping a cross…that to me is ridiculous.

Good advice terraricca,If you do not have enough faith that you will not make an idol out of a piece of cross-shaped metal then ask God to help you overcome your weakness for your idea of God is very small. Ask yourself if you have thoughts of condemnation towards those who wear crosses. That would be flesh and legalism maybe a religious spirit…[Read more]

Keith,Man begets a little man is an extrabiblical termAnimal begets little animal is an extrabiblical termIf man beget a grown man…ouch is all I have to say about that.So God beget God is just as logical as man begets man.The word was made flesh…not the word was made a son.If you can't see the Son as being a person before Mary then I see your…[Read more]

Terraricca,The cross symbol reminds some people of something spiritual and important and can help people remember to walk in the spirit. Sometimes men carry a cross in their pocket to help them when they are tempted with lust to remember to walk in the spirit instead of the flesh. If it doesn't edify you to see a cross then I'm sorry but I think…[Read more]

I think that satan would love for us not to wear a cross as a remembrance because that is where he was defeated and faced a future of eternal punishment.Eph 2:14-1614 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments…[Read more]

Welcome to HN,I don't see the cross as a tool by which people died but more of an altar upon which Jesus was sacrificed.  The Romans and Jews though of Jesus's death as a crucifixion but ultimately, it was Jesus's very Father and God that sent His Son to die as a sacrifice.  In the Old Testament, God ordered some altars to be built as a place to s…[Read more]

terraricca,You misunderstood my comment. No where did I say that the Son was God the Father, in fact, I said that the Son was not the Most High God (the Father).I don't think that one has to be a trinitarian to believe that the Son is God. God is what would be begotten of a Father that was and is God. He would not be anything but what He was…[Read more]

Good conversation going terraricca and JustAskin! I agree with much of what you both have said except for one particular thing. I see that Jesus, because He was begotten of the Most High God, can indeed be God, just not the “Most High God.” What else would the Most High God beget? Would that threaten the fact of there being one God? Well, not…[Read more]
