Did Jesus know he was “The Son of God” *before* Jordan?Edj……JESUS SURE DID KNOW, ANSWER IS YES, HE DID. Do you think his parents didn’t tell him what the Angel of God said to them?
Hi Gene,
Jodi refused to answer this simple “Yes” or “No” question…
Instead she reverted to spewing more of her unwanted propaganda…
“Jesus before the Jordan knew that he would become the Son of God at the Jordan…”

Ed JMarch 1, 2019 at 9:48 pm#843865MiiaParticipantEd J if you don’t mind this is not a thread to ask yes no questions.
March 1, 2019 at 11:52 pm#843869MiiaParticipantt8, you said
Jesus spoke in parables to the people, but he spoke plainly to his disciples.
The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
If Jesus speaks plainly to us, then who are we to assume you are better than your brother and speak to them like they are an unbeliever. In case there is doubt, the following tells us to alway give an answer.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to every man who asketh you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.
Yes, and that means giving a heart felt response.
You then said
And if anyone here thinks that dodging a fair yes or no question when investigating what they believe and teach, and hide behind the idea that this is acceptable conduct outside of oaths, then such is obviously not promoting honesty. What Jesus taught us was the truth. Let your yes be yes and no be no. This truth was uttered by the Lord when he was talking about oaths. Similarly, if the Lord said repent or you will perish while discussing the tower in Siloam that killed some men, then are we to assume that we do not need to repent because that advice was only pertinent in that situation.
Always be ready to give an answer to all who ask. Let your yes be yes and no be no. The Devil is often in the long-winded details. Some people use the same tactic as a dodgy lawyer because their hearts are not true. . They think deceiving people using the small print is fine. But such even deceive themselves.
Well this is a switch from what you started of as. Your entire post began good, then ended with this?
March 2, 2019 at 12:00 am#843870MiiaParticipantGene, agree.
Yes no demands about beliefs are bullyish.
Scripture does not say to demand yes no answers in relation to a question imposed.
March 2, 2019 at 12:38 am#843871MiiaParticipantWas it Ed J or T8 who started the whole ‘Yes’, ‘No’, ‘I don’t know’ thing?
March 2, 2019 at 10:20 am#843882Ed JParticipantHi Miia,
Me, because people were refusing to accept that truth is not exclusive to them.
If some thing is true, everyone should be able to understand it.
Thus the need for clarifying questions arises. You should not have a problem with wanting to establish truth; do you?

Is it better to chatter on and on like a propaganda machine,
than to consolidate the truth for all to understand? (<–please answer)I say we should gather together unto Christ
March 2, 2019 at 10:44 am#843884Ed JParticipantHi Miia,
I really don’t have a problem with a vegetation diet. The problem is:
you are claiming the bible is teaching something it clearly isn’t teaching.
Like your false belief that God is gong to destroy the works of his own hands.“speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood”
(2 Peter 3:16)“17 ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. 18 For thus saith
the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it;
he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited:
I the LORD; and there is none else. 19 I have not spoken in secret,
in a dark place of the earth” (Isaiah 45:17-19)____________

Your post above is in the wrong thread!
March 2, 2019 at 11:10 pm#843894MiiaParticipantSo Ed J, it was you who started the whole ‘Yes’, ‘No’, ‘I don’t know’ thing.
T8 followed.
It seems you have been a big influence for T8 not only with this.March 2, 2019 at 11:13 pm#843895MiiaParticipantEd J asked:

March 3, 2019 at 3:52 am#843897GeneBalthropParticipantEdj…..it certainly is better to explain scripture with scriptures, exactly as Jodi does, it not her fault you guys are to lazy to read and think about what she wrote. When there are so many scriptures that clarify subject mannor, why not use them all? It’s not a matter of a long explanation, it a matter as you guys can’t answer what she wrote, so you use the excuse of to long, to get out of a true and honest dialog , espically if it goes against what you believe.
Peace and love to you and yours ………gene

Hi Miia,
Please don’t answer your own questions. Answer the questions I ask instead.
Now please answer my question, the one “I” asked…
Is it better to chatter on and on like a propaganda machine,
than to consolidate the truth for all to understand? “Yes” or “No”March 3, 2019 at 9:14 am#843912Ed JParticipantDodgery is usually done by:
1 First, Ignoring the question asked and hoping it will not be asked again
2 Next, Avoiding the question by talking about something else altogether
3 Finally, Answering a different question and pretending it was answered.
You are now at #3

Hi Gene,
Answering y/n questions solves the problem
