Hi GB,
If you plant a tomato seed from IT may grow a tomato Plant.
IT may produce more tomatoes which contain seeds. Are they the same ITs?
October 2, 2014 at 2:51 pm#778560GeneBalthropParticipantNick……the seed contains the plant which it came from and reproduces it just as it was. Not so much as an ounce of difference, infact the seed can “ONL”Y PRODUCE IT ORIGINAL SELf. It’s all contained in the seed, a cornered will not produce a cabbage, carrots, oats, or any thing other then what it was, no matter what you think it can produce. What ever it produces will be exactly what it was in the first place, only regenerated with the exact same body it came from. If you know anything about DNA you know this to be true.
My argument is not with Paul it is with your misunderstanding of what he is saying, that is the problem here not what Paul actually said or meant.
Your failure to answer the question I present to you only proves the point. You accuse others of doing exactly what you are doing NICK.
Peace and love to you and yours………………….gene
October 2, 2014 at 2:57 pm#778561NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
So a cabbage is FROM a seed?
Yes the new body is FROM the planting of the old.But it is not the old
October 2, 2014 at 2:58 pm#778562NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Can you plant a cabbage to get another one?October 2, 2014 at 2:59 pm#778563NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
I suppose you could eat a cabbage seed but it would be better to PLANT it and eat a cabbage.October 2, 2014 at 3:01 pm#778564NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Paul was not teaching scientists who might try to claim a seed was the same as the plant that came from it.
Simple men respond best to the simple messages God givesOctober 2, 2014 at 3:02 pm#778565NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
So because there is no genetic difference between a seed and a plant you deny God given vision and misinterpret scripture.October 2, 2014 at 3:03 pm#778566NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
You cannot give a yes or no answer?
Then neither can I.
Keep it simpleOctober 2, 2014 at 3:25 pm#778567NickHassanParticipantHi Gb,
Mk 4
For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.Only the last is the same as the first
and yet it is not the same as there are far more than was plantedOctober 2, 2014 at 3:45 pm#778568NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.Should that rather read it is sown a natural body and raised a natural body??
And there is no spiritual body??October 2, 2014 at 4:57 pm#778573kerwinParticipantNick,
Are you claiming those who live by the Spirit are of this world because they are tempted as was Jesus?
October 2, 2014 at 5:02 pm#778574kerwinParticipantNick,
I see you were thinking it through.
Yes, those who are set free over come the world.
October 2, 2014 at 5:09 pm#778575NickHassanParticipanthi KW,
All are in the world but not all are of the world.
All suffer temptationOctober 2, 2014 at 10:01 pm#778582kerwinParticipantNick,
Yes, I agree but I still say.
The natural man is evil because he is of the world but the man who is not evil is so because he is a son of God. Never the less both are human beings.
The Spirit supersedes the flesh in those that believe so they are no longer merely human but instead become the children of God. That is why Jesus said:
Matthew 11:11New English Translation (NET Bible)
11 “I tell you the truth, among those born of women, no one has arisen greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he is.

October 3, 2014 at 4:06 am#778601NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Judgement is unhelpful.
Jesus Christ came to save sinners, not the just or the wise.
It is the people who lived in darkness who have see a great light.
As usual weakness is strength and only desperation leads to hope.
The flesh was never the real problem though it harbours lust and sin.
Paul sought to be free of it to be free of sin in the flesh knowing a better home awaited him -Rom7
He followed his master, the man from heaven, as all the brothers can hope to do also.
Only those in whom the light can find no home will be cast into the fire.
October 3, 2014 at 4:42 am#778602GeneBalthropParticipantNick…….The new body is a extension of the old, it is regenerated by the seed of life the spirit, I have offered many scriptures that absolutely prove that point. Your refusal to answer WHAT PAUL WAS REFERENCING proves it. Paul know full well, it is our same body that will be spiritually activated, that will rise from the grave, God showed plainly that was the case, in the valley of died bones, again you refuse to believe him, GOD said Adam and Eve could have lived forever with the very bodies they had, again you refuse to believe him,
1Cor 15:42-44…> So also is the resurection of the dead, “IT” (our present bodies) is sown in corruption “IT” (our present bodies) is raised in incorruption. 43, “IT” (our present bodies ) is sown in dishonor; “IT” (our present bodies) is raised in glory: “IT” (our present bodies) is sown in weakness; “IT” (our present bodies) is raised in power: “IT” (our present bodies) is sown a natural (see below) body “IT” (our present bodies) is raised a spritual body.
The word natural……psoo-khee-kos’ in GREEK from G5590; sensitive that is, animated (in distinction on the one hand from G41590, which is a higher or renovated (NATURE); and on the other from G5446, which is a lower or beastial nature.):- natural, sensual
Paul by saying “there is a natural body and there is a spritual body was simply taking about our new natures at the resurection of our present physical bodies, he was not addressing the body itself but the nature of the resurrected bodies. He was telling us, that the regenerated bodies will have a spritual nature and not the old sensual nature, but will still be our physical flesh bodies, with a spritual nature.
You or no one else can produce a single scripture that says there is a SPIRIT BODY of any kind, a spritual body which is referring to a flesh body spiritually activated. That was PAUL POINT, it was the nature of our regenerated physical bodies, was his point was talking about. Not a completely different body itsef, but the same body spiritually activated. Which changes our nature not our form.
Peace and love to you and yours…………….gene

October 3, 2014 at 7:12 am#778608NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Now the NEW is an extension of the OLD?
Your foundation is unstable
Is a plant an extension of the seed?
October 3, 2014 at 7:13 am#778609NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Paul spoke of spiritual bodies in 1 cor 15.
But you are greater than Paul?
October 3, 2014 at 9:18 am#778625kerwinParticipantNick,
By this time you should know that the Spiritual bodies Paul speaks of are those that are freed from corruption by being led by the Spirit. You though chose to think that all flesh is the same and the flesh that is bound to corruption is the same as the flesh that has been freed from corruption.
October 3, 2014 at 9:23 am#778626kerwinParticipantNick,
Jesus Christ came to save sinners, not the just or the wise.
A certain angel said he came to save them from their sins and he said that he came to release those who were servants from sin truly free of sin. At the same time he said anyone who sins is a servant of sin. If you continue to sin you have not yet been completely set free of servitude to sin.
