Rev 11.15
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying
”The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever”
April 7, 2018 at 11:22 pm#822102MiiaParticipantYes, Christ’s kingdom is forever.
April 8, 2018 at 2:41 am#822103GeneBalthropParticipantNick….Yes “the Lord and his anointed”, are we not his anointed (christ”s) also, along with Jesus? Can scripture counterdict itself? Are you more interested in trying to show someone wrong, so you can discredit them, then seeking truth?
Peace and love to you and yours. ……gene

Could you define what you mean by saying “this generation”?
If you mean by “this generation”, the Christians waiting for the return of Jesus and his saints, then this generation would represent people who despise this “present earth”, and are waiting for Jesus to destroy all enemies and establish a New Earth.
If you mean by “this generation” the sinners currently on earth, the believe that they already own the “present earth”, and the only thing they are seeking to inherit is more mammon from the “present earth”.
So in my understanding there is no one who is seeking to inherit the “present earth”.
The “present earth” represents an earth filled with sin, set to be destroyed. Those in Christ have established their faith through believing and anticipating it’s destruction.

Hi Miia,
Yes
April 9, 2018 at 12:22 pm#822124MiiaParticipantJodi, you have it exactly right, thanks.
The Saints and Jesus anticipated the end of this world /earth and their thoughts were heavenly. They also looked forward to a new heavens and a new earth.
What started this subject was browsing the net and seeing so many Christian websites claiming that this generation (meaning they), would inherit this earth, with a completely earthly present focus, often believing in worldly blessings, riches and you name it.
We are constantly bombarded (if we allow ourselves), by earthly enticements. We are encouraged to earn money and spend money. We are encouraged to be popular and self focused through social media. It’s all so earthly. It’s like a battle between heaven and earth.
