The catholic church must be very grateful for your defence of their folly.
More important is that I know I please my Savior Jesus Christ.thinker

What is Acts 20:28 and what do you want answering about it.January 26, 2010 at 2:56 pm#173554JustAskin
ParticipantTT,
I told you that when God wants to destroy someone he first makes them suffer – like Saul.
You are 'Saul' here.
You were given the ability to be a good and determined scholar but you abuse it – the gift of God.
I can see from your writings that you are suffering but you do not know how to let go – Peace Brother. Let go the Force – We will be here to catch you with the aid of the Holy Spirit.
Once you let go you will feel fear, anxiety and loneliness because you will be wondering what all your great learning was all for – that it was all a waste, all these years, all thet study, A waste.
But no, God can use what you have learned against his enemy – you have been on the INSIDE of his enemy!
The tenacity that you once use against the True Christian, God will use FOR them – Your soul will be with you but your Spirit will have changed.God Bless to you.

JA,Why don't you help me “let go” by convincing me with good arguments? Up until now you were attacking my battleship with a mere B B gun. Now you have gone down to a pea shooter.
I am still waiting for the missile strike. Not until it comes will I put on the anti-trinitarian life preserver. But I don't see that happening because you just ain't got the arsenal.

This is my last post to you until you start offering some arguments that you will at least attempt to prove. The text says that God purchased His people with His own blood.I have already told you that it means that Jesus was God incarnate. Now prove the contrary.

It is as I said : you have gone mad!Acts 20:28 in no way proves anything that you are saying. Why did you quote this verse as proof that Jesus is God Almighty?
You mean, all this time we have been dialoguing this is the best that you can do – great Scholar?
You are right not to speak with me – if you so wish!

ParticipantTT,
Quote Please re-read Rev 1:1 – 8:
The opening passages are a declaration of whom the revelation is about:
1:1 “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him…”Means: The Revelation spoken of by Christ, the revelation which God gave him …to show to his (Jesus') servants…
“and he (God) sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:”
Means: God's angel will announce the message.
1:2 is a continuation of the above.
1:3 The angel is speaks the beginning of the message.
1:4 “…peace from Him which is, and which was, as which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;”
Means: “Him which is, and which was, as which is to come” is God almighty. It is He that sits on the throne (The Lamb, Jesus)
is amongst the throne – shown later) The Seven Spirits are the Seven Spirits of the HOLY SPIRIT (of God the
Almighty)1:5 verse 4 continues here; “And From Jesus Christ …”
means: This verse qualifies the statement above – that it is God Almighty who is on the throne.1:6 continuation of verse 5…
1:7 This verse is speaking of Jesus, the last person spoken of in the previous verses…
1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come,
the Almighty.”Here God speaks to close off his oration.
John then continues…

GeneThe problem that you have with your analogy is that it was Jesus “Own Blood” that saves us!
Do you deny this?
So if his Blood is the Blood of God then that simply means he is God!

ParticipantHi Ja
Since Ed has been gracious enough to wait for my response I will respond to you first! My time is still short at this time and my response to you may not be as quick as you would like, but hopefully this will prove to you that I am not purposely avoiding you and you will stop with the false accusations!
Quote (JustAskin @ Jan. 20 2010,18:16)
And my Spirit said 'write':Trinitarian argument sometimes say that he was Wholly Man while on earth because he emptied himself of his Godship. Others state that he was both God and Man.
According to Phil 2:6-8 Jesus who was in very nature God (KJV form of God) emptied himself of his Divine prerogatives while maintaining his nature as God who is Spirit and he took on the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men. John 1:1, 14.So is it possible that the infinite God could take on the form of a human by literally coming in the likeness of sinful flesh and dwelling among us? You bet he can and did!
Does God live in you? Is he less God by living in your flesh?
Paul said…
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; **YET NOT I**, “but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal 2:20
If Christ can live in our flesh, then is it possible for God to live in the flesh and have his own blood?
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed “the church of God, which **HE HATH PURCHASED WITH HIS OWN BLOOD**”. Acts 20:28
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and “THE WORD WAS GOD…..”
AND THE WORD (God) WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:1, 14 (Compare with Phil 2:6-8)
Hopefully you will not dance around these scriptures!
Quote (JustAskin @ Jan. 20 2010,18:16)
As what, then, did he die on the cross for the remission of our sins and gain salvation for mankind? If, as a man, then he was Not God and all is in order.
You look at one side of the coin! God specifically says that he alone can save us! Yet we see that Jesus is our “Only Savour”. Chew on this scripture for awhile…Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed “the church of God, which **HE HATH PURCHASED WITH HIS OWN BLOOD**”. Acts 20:28
Quote (JustAskin @ Jan. 20 2010,18:16)
If, as God/man, then we cannot have Salvation because only as Wholly man can salvation be gained – Adam, from whom sin came, was Wholly man.
You have it all wrong! It’s not “Wholly man” that brings us salvation but it is “Wholly God”! It was not from “Adam” that salvation comes, but it is by the “Second Adam”, the Lord from heaven (1 Cor 15:45-48) who is God in the flesh! (1 Tim 3:16)Quote (JustAskin @ Jan. 20 2010,18:16)
Trinitarians claim that people recognised Jesus as God and that Jesus, himself, claimed to be God.
Not only do Trinitarians claim this but the Apostles claim this as well as the Jews of Jesus day who knew more about what Jesus was claiming than you! (John 5:17, 18 and 20:28)Quote (JustAskin @ Jan. 20 2010,18:16)
If this is so then he is God/man and we do not have salvation.
Without the God/man there is no salvation!Quote (JustAskin @ Jan. 20 2010,18:16)
Then he did not 'completely' empty himself of his Godship – and as such would have enjoyed a Prince masquerading as a Pauper, enjoying the comfort of richness while teaching how good it is to be poor – what an hippocracy that would be!
Again you speak in ignorance of the Trinitarian view. Trinitarians do not believe that God emptied himself of his “Godship”, or his Divine nature.
God is Spirit, the Word that was with God and was God is Spirit. Man is Spirit/soul who lives in a flesh tent. The Word/God came and dwelt in a flesh tent as man and subjected himself to being a servant by taking on the likeness of sinful flesh! For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. 2 Cor 8:9
Was Jesus ever rich when he was here in the flesh? Jesus left his place of Glory that he shared with the Father as the Word that was God and now has returned to his previous Glory! John 17:5
Quote (JustAskin @ Jan. 20 2010,18:16) Also, if Jesus is God or God/man, then what was the state of the Trinity while Jesus was in the grave (Can a God Die?) Does thid mean heaven was a God short – a binity?
Further, can God become anything less than a God – God does not change? Jesus did?If God died, who was looking after heaven? Can one third of a God die?
Again, as far as his Divine nature he did not change! As far as God dying, Jack has debunked that fallacious argument very well! Jesus Spirit did not die and cease to exist! Jesus died in the same way everyone else dies, the Spirit is separated from the body! 2 Cor 5:1-8, James 2:26, 2 Peter 1:14
Blessings WJ
