Chipwhite…..> This is beyond a dought the best site to learn and grow on.It covers a multitude of subjects and there is some pretty good scriptural knowledgeable brothers and sisters on here. I love to read what different ones say about the subjects, while not always agreeing with them , but there is a great sence of liberty here that you don't get in many indoctrinated churches. Just my humble howbeit acurate opinion :D :D :D
good to have you here……peace to you and yours……gene

T8 and kejonn and others……while these debates seam to go around and around at times and seam to go no where, there are many God is bringing to this site and reading these post and are getting new prespectives that are different from what they have always been taught, Just look at the comments of Chipwhite , seeking truth and happy man, Mandy, Im4truthe,Mr. steve, and others. Jesus said he came to start a fire and said o how i wish it was already started. Were giving people another glance at what they have always been told. Lets not grow weary or get discouraged. You have no idea what will come in the future from this site…….God bless you all ….gene and that includes you to WJ.

Thanks to everyone who has responded to my letter..
I am very thankful and appreciative of what you have said thus far.

God gave us the Scriptures for “teaching” and “correction” that they must be perfectly accurate it all matters — after all, the God who gave them is perfect. But this doesn't necessarily follow. Part of the problem we have in discussing such matters as inspiration is that our Western thinking is so geared toward the cognitive. While the 2 Timothy text connects inspiration with the inner effects the sacred writings have on us, we tend to think in terms of “accurate data” or “proofs for theological points.” Aristole rules some people's thought processes more than we would like to admit.

But I believe God did not bestow the Scriptures upon us primarily so we could walk around with a flawless systematic theology between two covers. We have that sacred book, first and foremost, so that we can be more like the Master who shines forth from its pages.

One of the temptations of Christ, Satan quotes scripture to justify his temptation. If the Bible is all we need, then how come Satan can twist Scriptures to his purpose?

This means that the infallible Word of God can be twisted with a wrong interpretation. Jesus then responds with another verse that nullifies Satan's twisted interpretation.

Scripture and the Interpretation of Scripture are two different things. We read Scripture, but it has a proper interpretation, because people interpret Scripture differently. The truth can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit, let us all be sensitive to what God is telling us..Amen?

Even though I don't know any of you personally, I pray that all of you that  God will  graciously grant you all the things necessary to press on and strain forward  wisdom, discernment, humility, resolve, courage, patience, and joy. These are not qualities that we can muster up on our own. These are qualities that Christ alone perfectly possesses. But if we are in Christ, they are already ours. The Bible makes it clear that in Christ, God provides us with everything we need for godliness.

Our Christian forefathers used to lament that “Christian’s too often live beneath the level of their privileges.” We fail to recognize that if we are united to Christ, then all that is his is mine (spiritual speaking). He has made it possible for us to be all that God originally intended for us to be. “Jesus is the captain of our salvation.” He is the pioneer of our faith. As the pioneer of our faith, he has made it possible for us to follow him. He has beaten down a path for us to follow. He came to regain for us all that the first Adam had forfeited.  He has not only tasted all of our experiences of temptation but he has gone further. He experienced them in their full strength, when they unleashed all their powers against him. Where we would stumble and fall, he has pressed on. He overcame temptation, conquered death and drew its sting. Now he beckons us: ‘Follow me', the pathway of faith is trustworthy FAITH for all of you to use!’” My hope and my prayer for US  is that always and everywhere we will hear the voice of our Captain saying, “Follow me—the way has already been paved.” bLESS YOU ALL..

nO MORE Trinity debate for me, I said my peace..I'll be moving on to a different subject =)..sEE YOU GUYS THERE!

I keep coming back to this:

If Jesus taught that he was God Almighty, for a certainty, the ones who wanted him done away with would have charged him with making that claim.

Yet, they did not. Instead, they accused him of claiming to be, as Jesus “said”, “God's Son.” (John 10:36)

To me it is unimaginable and beyond argumentation (at least, so far on this forum anyway) that these ones who wanted Jesus done away with would not have accused him of the greater supposed charge–that of actually claiming to be the Almighty God.

All I have to say is WOW!

I was raised Pentecostal, I even gave my life to Jesus when I was around 16 or so when I lived at home with my parents and was MADE to go to church…and got saved under the “Fear Factor” preaching in a Trinity Belief church. When I first got saved God touched my soul and it felt so very good. I had this huge zeal to serve him and learn all about the wonderful kingdom of God, I studied my bible night and day and prayed night and day and fasted and continued getting blessed by god.

It was when I started believing the man made doctrines that I knew nothing about. I never knew anything about all these doctrines …and there is a lot of doctrines about this and that. The funny thing is …lol. when someone sits down with you to study the faith they believe and/or want you to believe, they only show you enough scriptures to prove their point and then thats that. If your a new Christian…and you don't have the knowledge of the bible…this can be bad.

Ultimately, when I moved out of the house, and got on my own. Old satan started whispering in my ear “Man you don't have to go to church” “Man you don't have to live for god anymore” So…I got deceived and quit going.

Just recently I have decided to start living for the lord again And turn my life back over to God. Because, satan obviously has nothing for me in this world…else i'd already have it. And there is nothing in this world worth being departed from God. NOTHING! Do I need to say that again? lol

Well, I do believe that there are some powerful soul filling messages that you can get from a preacher that spends a lot of his time praying and studying the word of God.

So…Now i'm going to this church that believes in the Oneness doctrine. Which, I don't really agree with that either.
However, they do baptize in Jesus' Name…So I did get corrected on that. There is only one scripture that I can find to back up the way i've seen it done all my life…and that Matt 28:19 There is a host of scripture supporting the baptize in Jesus' Name belief…So I got re-baptized in Jesus' Name. I got filled with the Holy Ghost as well, actually I got the Holy Ghost before being re-baptized.

I've studied these doctrines in this site about the trinity and the oneness. The only thing I really don't like about the studies is the fact that all the scriptures used are in the NIV. I have a KJV…so I have to look each one up and check it out…takes up a whole lot of time.

But, what I would really like to know is if this reviews of these doctrines are not sound…is there a proven sound doctrines or church that does teach the truth? I am almost supremely confident that all these denominations are wrong about something somewhere along the line somewhere. I have come to the conclusion that there is not a denomination that is 100% right.

Your going to be better off just believing what you study in the bible and looking up sites like this if you are blessed with the internet. And praying, and fasting, and living for God. Pay no never mind to these worldly things. The bible says: “Let no man deceive you by any means” 2 Thess 2:3

I would like to know if this site promote the Church of Christ or something though.

Gen I appreciate your faith in God and us. God has been very good to us, meaning my Husband and I. He has shown us many truths. But right now my Husband and I and Nick only agree on these truths. I am still not sure what your beliefs are. Would you share those with us?

I dont want to debate this either but I will say I'm coming out of Trinitarianism. I have trouble with a few scriptures like

..no other God …I know not one….

I am troubled since I do believe that Jesus Yeshua or whatever you want to call Him is a God and creator of all the heavens and earth (that we know of, why can't unlimited God have many other universes in his Hand) and worthy of worship since He is our savior. Its not Idolity to worship Jesus since he is of the same substance as God just as I and my own son are.

But jesus is a son, he is not the Father and they are one in the sense of perfect unity , no shadow of turning, no darkness kinda one. They share they same Holy spirit.
But He is reveled as the Son, not the brother of God and always behaves as one in total subjection to His Father altough any equal being as my own son will be when fully grown. Jesus directs our worship to the father not himself.

I can reconcile the fact that our worship belongs to the one whom jesus directs us to worship the father. whom He prayed to whose law He forfilled. The is no problem with worship jesus as God because he is our God, He made us, loves us, was sacrificed for us etc. but he did all at the direction of his father whom He worshiped. Any worship He recieves he Passes on to His father. He is faithful. No rebellion in Him bless his name forever.

God being eternal will never die and hand over what is his to his son, He already has his inheiritance, the known universe and the kingdom of heaven he is the ruler of all we know of all are His. But how many others may the Father have ? No person can answer this question.

But here another how is it that we are promised to inheirt 'eternal life' but how can this be since we have been created through our parents. what don't we understand about eternity? Hmmm everything are everlasting and eternal life the same thing?

I know these have probably been addressed esle where but I can't sit at a computer all my life im running out of time!

Mrs……> what i believe i have expressed here many times.
but Ill give you a brief rundown.
I believe there is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD> And that is NOT Jesus. I Believe Jesus did not come into existence before his berth on earth as the second Adam. I believe he Was foreordained or in the plan of God from the foundations of the earth, but came into being at his berth. I believe in the Sabbath Principle of eternal rest with GOD. I believe the ten commandments are eternal and are written in our hearts by the hand of GOD the FAther when we recieved His Spirit or seed into Us. I believe Jesus was (GOD”S) sacrifice for our sins and if we believe in him and that (GOD) rasied him from the dead we will be given eternal life. There are other things i believe and don't believe in I do not believe in the trinity at all, having studied it for years and having found it to be (THE BIGGEST LIE) ever told. I don't believe in Easter, Christmas, and Sunday as the Lords day at all. I hope this answer your question on what i Believe………peace to you ….gene.

How many scriptures are there that “imply” or “directly state” that Jesus is GOD the FATher[in some “misterious way” that NOBODY is able to explain”]

How many scriptures “imply” or “directly state” that Jesus is a separate emtity from GOD THE FATHER.
I am searching for the accurate truth in the scriptures I consider myself to have an objective judgment because when I decided to REALLY SEARCH the truth I realized that I had to “throw away” any or ALL preconceived ideas I had about religious beliefs [ I was raised as a catholic]I learned during my whole LIFE about RELIGION.

LOOKING at the evidence from this light I have read more implications and , or, direct statements that push me to believe that JESUS is GOD's SON who was directly CREATED by GOD THE FATHER. The FATHER sent HIS ONLY BEGOtTEN SON as a human to save the meek ones [the teachable people]. I get this from the scriptures and it seems pretty clear on this. Why so much fuss about Jesus identity? Why would he PRAY to himself? It is not common sense or logical. The concept or definition of the word TRINITY originates from PAGAN IDEOLOGIES. What does light have in common with darkness? Let me think umh, NOTHING. How come the apostoles NEVER directly state that JESUS is GOD THE FATHER? It is a big presumption for some people to attempt tp explain trinity based on ONE scripture: the JOHN ONE. CAN THIS ONLY SCRIPTURE survive the fact that so many others [to say the least] “put a big ? mark on the believe that JESUS is GOD?…. I have read numerous verses in the bible that implie that JESUS is IN SUBJECTION to his FATHER! How can JESUS be in subjection TO HIMSELF? NOT logical. WHY THEN JESUS instructed his disiples to pray to “THE FATHER who IS IN HEAVEN? HOW does the trinity concept EXPLAIN THIS MISTERY? BECAUSE that is all it is. THE TRINITY concept HAS PAGANISM written all over it! Again, WHY the TRINITY word or concept was NEVER adressed in the scriptures? ONly in ancient [pagan] religions? clearer does not sing a bird… [ a spanish saying…] love you all, Elaine:D

the MISTERY of the trinity is like the MISSING LINK in the evolution THEORY. WHY do some or most scientist ASSUME the THEORY to be a PROVEN FACT when it is CLEARLY not….SAme with the trinity concept , there are A FEW scriptures that could “COULD” mean that he is GOD THE FATHER, ONLY if there was NO other statements that CLEARLY or to be on the saafe side state the opposite. if the only scriptures in bible are the few that most trinitarians used to “prove” trinity then they have a :good case” but what happens to the others[lost of them ] that logically mean state the opposite?…Then we bring to the equation the trinity word as an ancient PAGAN concept[ read the history] and the theory falls thru…..???

So we have this main thoughts to think about:
1] why would JESUS pray to himself? WHY did THE FATHER said to JESUS during his baptism” YOU are MY SON, the beloved, whom I approved”. WHY WHY WHY would GOD say those words if they WERE NOT TRUE?
2] who says and with WHAT AUTORITY it is said that the explanation is A MISTERY?
3] WHY will this great important issue of the identity of JESUS be explained by or with CLEARLY PAGAN ideologies like the trinity concept?….
    ???
    4] …. I will continue this later …:)
