Personally, I do not have to attain an unachievable goal of becoming god like.
I am satisfied with being created from stars, planets, moons. Not so bottled necked in my genetics.
I am also quite in form with knowing the spirit of truth was not contained to just a fleeting moment of time. With the uplifting knowledge that the shedding of blood is not my baseline to bring me to the light of truth as some forms of religion believe. Especially the ones that use bloodshed of humanity or genocide for the gods.
Such doom and gloom. What is it that uplifts your heart that you give praise and prayer for having this in your life.
Do you plan on changing body type after you die and go on to everlasting life? Specifically, you have an earthly body now, are you hoping to have a heavenly body someday which is different than the one you have now? If so, how will it be different?

Yes God hates the whore of Babylon and the warnings for those in her are stark.
it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
But the message of the world is much more comforting.

SPIRITS are not bodies, they want and desire to live in bodies. 2Cor 5:1 ..For we know that if our earthely house of this tabernacle (body) were desolved, we have a building of GOD, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens . For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon “WITH” our house (body) which is from heaven: if so be that being cloth we shall not be found naked. 4, For we that are in this tabernacle (body) do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but cloth upon that which goes over a “body”, why? that mortality might be swallowed up of life. According to Paul the body that is planted is not the body arises. The example of this is Jesus who was planted in a mortal body and arose in an immortal body that bore the marks of his self-sacrifice. All the dead, both the wicked and righteous, will likewise rise from the dead in an immortal body. That body like Jesus’ will be flesh and bone because Scripture cannot be broken.
What do you mean by “earthly”? It is a term that Scriptures uses to speak of the earth of the present age of decay. The earth of the future age as well and the age of genesis are different. The current world is bound to corrupt but neither the one of the time before the world or the world to come were or will be.

That is why Jesus said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to go to heaven.
All of us are rich humans but what is impossible for a human is possible for God. Have faith and believe.
“All of us are rich humans”- that’s quite debatable ,and Jesus preached the good news to the poor so no they were not rich in this life.My belief is they had to eat un-kosher foods and couldn’t afford the sacrifices of the temple.That’s why what Jesus preached was good news to them.
No it’s not Kerwin. that sentence reflected you can’t buy your way in to heaven, hence coined the phrase ‘you cannot take it with you’.

Being rich can have multiple meanings Andrew, currency is one. Being rich in the spirit is another, being rich with blessings, being rich in loving and being loved. Some of us are rich beyond compare but couldn’t lend you a dollar. Chin up Andrew!
I have not studied the daily lives during that time. So I wouldn’t know if that was true or not. Perhaps you could share how you come to the conclusion.

What was Jesus point in the verse about the rich not obtaining heaven? could one be spiritually rich yet not not obtain it?
