Hi WU,
“The drive of the flesh is the spirit of men.”
This is your idea?August 21, 2014 at 3:24 pm#735939NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
yet as by fire (intense judgement)You still add your own concepts to scripture?
August 21, 2014 at 3:58 pm#735950terrariccaParticipant@K
if you believe that the number is a symbolic one then the redeemed ones are also symbolic for they are connected to each other ,
and i do not believe that they are not symbolic at all. for only a part of the believers are redeemed from the earth the great crowed is for the earth
August 21, 2014 at 3:59 pm#735951NickHassanParticipantHi ,
God will judge each PERSON according to what they have done.
Rom2August 21, 2014 at 4:02 pm#735954terrariccaParticipantthe truth is that what ever we have done it was in and most with our flesh
August 22, 2014 at 1:14 am#736161GeneBalthropParticipantNick……………It says, “but he shall be “SAVED” yet as by Fire”. Now what do you think that means brother. If you see the fire mentioned their as a literal Fire , then how could he be saved it would burn him up, hardly save him. Scripture in many place uses Fire as a type of “intense Judgement”, Peter even said “THIS FIERY TRIAL WHICH HAS “TRIED YOU “, AS IF SOME STRANGE THING HAS HAPPENED TO YOU”. Now what was the “FIERY TRIAL” he was speaking of Nick?
Fire in scripture is mention in many places as a purification process making thing pure. Fire can be used as an allegory of a purification process, through Intense Judgments, Nick. I believe You well know this Nick. IMO
Glade your back brother, you help us all stay focused.
peace and love to you and yours……………………………………gene

Yes there is the fire of testing, the baptism of fire
but there is also the LAKE OF FIRE for the lostAugust 30, 2014 at 4:12 pm#742010GeneBalthropParticipantNick……….The scripture we were dealing was not about the lost but the saved brother.
Peace and love to you and yours…………….gene
August 30, 2014 at 5:14 pm#742042NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Indeed testing by fire is for the saved.
Judgement begins at the house of God
But the residue from the judgement of the sheep and goats have not found salvation
For them is the lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE FIRE MEANS ?
September 30, 2014 at 3:04 am#777409GeneBalthropParticipantTerricca…….Fire is used in scripture for many things, it can mean a way of destroying something, as purifying something. As a process of judgements, as a means of decipline. As where Peter used it, knowing this that the fiery trial which has tried you as if some strange thing has happened unto you.
As intense judgement, if you eye offend (prevent) you cast it from you, better is that you enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather then have two, and be cast into the fire, where the worm dies not,and the fire is not quinched.
We are also told by Jesus that we all will be salted with fire, (intense judgement), and Paul says every man’s work shall be tried by fire (intense judgements ) and if his work is found to be of gold, sever, precious stones,he shall recieve a reward, but if his work is of wood, hay, stubble, he shall suffer lose, but he himself will be saved YET AS BY FIRE (intense judgement )
Fire in scripture is used for a cleansing process, it destroy’s wickedness and produces righteousness, it is used as a purifying symbol in scriptures.
Peace and love to you and yours………….gene
September 30, 2014 at 9:50 am#777467NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
It is also used for destruction and punishment.
Your additions-intense judgements-do not cover these.September 30, 2014 at 12:24 pm#777714terrariccaParticipanthi
you forgot one way ;that the truth of God is used to burn the wicked up from inside out , for no one cant stand facing the truth and have sins and wickedness in him ,
his sins and wickedness will burn his heart mind and soul , and how more truth the wicked will see how more corrup he will become until he is totally burned up ,
July 3, 2018 at 11:15 am#831752NickHassanParticipantHi,
Heb 9.27
And inasmuch as it is appointed to man to die once and after this comes judgement.
Jas 2.26
For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works in dead.
So death comes when the spirit returns to God at death.
The outer man perishes and returns to dust as before.
But judgement does not immediately follow death.
There is a time of waiting and there are places of waiting.
The spirit is gone, the body gone but every man yet exists as soul.
Those souls in Christ are alive by his Holy Spirit ready to be wakened by the voice.
After judgement those souls not found deserving of the specified mercy of God are thrown in the fire.
The second death, also known as the lake of fire is the destruction of the mortal soul we are told about in Matt 10.28
July 4, 2018 at 5:36 am#831761GeneBalthropParticipantNick, your adding your own ideas , to what is written, when the soul, the body with the breath of life in it, dies it is finishhed for ever, there is nothing alive in it, and spirit goes back to God, who gives it to all created souls that exist , (bodies with, the breath of life in them), same with all the physical creation, animals or mankind, both man and animals spirits return back to their maker, GOD.
YOUR VIEW OF SOUL’S STILL ALIVE AFTER DEATH IS COMPLETE NONSENSE. WHEN WE DIE WE SIMPLE EXIST NO MORE, NOR EVER WOULD AGAIN, UNLESS THE LORD RESURECTS US AND BREATH INTO THE BREATH OF LIFE AGAIN, WE WOULD PARISH FOR EVER. It is apsolutely cruical we obtain unto the resurection for the dead, exactly as Jesus did.
If God the Father did not raise Jesus’ body back to life again, he still would be “dead”. Your pagan ideas people, are still alive and animated after death is false, according to scripture, i can quote them for you but i have already, as well as many others here.
You just refuse to believe what is clearly written brother.
Peace and love to you and yours. ……gene
July 4, 2018 at 6:40 am#831765NickHassanParticipantHi Gene,
You limit the power of God to your weak understanding.
So God blew into the dust of earth and man became a living soul.
So where did the mind and heart and understanding of men come from?
Did these things come from the dust of earth or from the breath of the Living God?
To take away life is to remove all history, all growth, all love and knowledge and experience?
July 4, 2018 at 7:44 am#831770NickHassanParticipantHi Gene,
It is unwise to deny the gift of eternal life that is given by the Spirit of Life.
By your theory all memory of our life is lost at the death of a man.
Recreation from DNA (your idea)does not include memory.
Do men face judgement unaware of what they did?
July 5, 2018 at 2:53 am#831789GeneBalthropParticipantNick…i never said anything was lost, thats your misunderstanding again, scriptures say the is no activity in the grave. When a man dies he is indeed dead, and will remain that way until he is resurected, and his mind will be restored back to him. Because every hair is numbered, don’t you think so are our throught and memories to. “It is appointed unto a man to die, and x after that t h e judgement” how could we be judged if we have no menory of our past.
No my argument with you is you preach men after they die are still active in a neither world, being punished and still active, that is pagan nonsense. When you are dead you truly are dead, or God and Jesus are liars, and your pagan nonse is true then.
Peace and love to you and yours. …..gene
July 5, 2018 at 7:40 am#831794NickHassanParticipantHi Gene,
Jesus died and gave up his spirit on Calvary.
But alive in the SPIRIT he visited the spirits in prison.1 peter 3
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob too are yet alive in the Spirit as the anointed sons have passed from death to life.
July 5, 2018 at 10:39 am#831805GeneBalthropParticipantNick….I don’t think Jesus visited anyone when he was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights, or he could not claimed to be dead, right? To me a dead person is not a live person. Now the anointing spirit of God could do that, but Jesus sure didn’t do that because if you believe him he was “DEAD”.
YOU seem so intrenched in the pagan neither world stuff, you lose reality, all who have died are still dead except Jesus, they are awaiting a resurection, that will witness the redemption of their “BODIES”. Just as the apostle Paul said. Did jesus ever say dead people are still alive, was Larazrus still alive, when the deciples mistook what Jesus was telling them, about him being asleep, no he was as Jesus said , he was “dead” and no matter how hard you try to make a dead person alive, it doesn’t work for me at least, to many scriptures show everything stops when you die.
Peace and love to you and yours. …..gene
