To ALL…….imo…the other sheep were all those who God would bring to Jesus from the time he made that statement till he comes. Jesus knew that the Father would bring more Sheep , that was the FATHERS plan all along.

And of course there are the goats.January 4, 2009 at 6:16 pm#116577GeneBalthropParticipantNick……the Goat and Sheep thing may not be talking about a individual Persons at all, it (MAY) be talking about the Nations as a whole, Some nations help others and some not at all. Jesus said he would separate (THE NATIONS) as one separates Sheep from the Goats. The context seems to be the NATIONS, I am not saying that this doesn't apply to individuals also. But the context here seems to be the NATIONS.

Mt25
41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
January 4, 2009 at 6:33 pm#116580GeneBalthropParticipantNick………back up the trolly a little to Mat 25:
January 4, 2009 at 6:36 pm#116582NickHassanParticipantSo GB,
You would see entire nations, good and evil alike, condemned to everlasting punishment?January 4, 2009 at 6:45 pm#116583GeneBalthropParticipantSorry hit the wrong key. Nick ….go to Mat 25:32….> And before Him shall be gathered all (NATIONS): and He shall Separate (THEM) (the NATIONS) one from another, as a shepherd divides sheep from goats. the context here is (NATIONS) not individuals. Why do you always leave that out of your posts concerning this.
INTERESTING. you didn't know that or are you trying to force the text to meet you personal teachings.love and peace to you and yours…………………….gene
January 4, 2009 at 6:53 pm#116584NickHassanParticipantGB,
So you would condemn entire nations?January 4, 2009 at 7:08 pm#116586GeneBalthropParticipantNick………I was simply quoting the Scripture in context that all, it's not about Me OR YOU. Why should you force the text to meet you views. Some nations are more caring and giving then others Nations are, my point is why change the context to meet your views. And it not everlasting punishment it's aion or age punishment.

January 4, 2009 at 7:43 pm#116590NickHassanParticipantGB,
So read your way entire nations would be condemned.
Do you think that makes sense?January 4, 2009 at 8:31 pm#116596GeneBalthropParticipantNick……..It makes sense to me because what i call fire is intense Judgments not literal burning them up as you believe will happen. Does a Sheppard divide up his sheep from Goats to Kill them , but that doesn't matter, you have no right to change the context of the text do you. Did Jesus give you that authority Nick?
peace………………gene
January 4, 2009 at 8:41 pm#116598NickHassanParticipantYes GB,
We know you have taken a warped view of the fire of MT25 somehow cleansing the goats and making them into sheep.
But you should read it again.January 5, 2009 at 6:00 pm#116711GeneBalthropParticipantNick………O really , again whose the we (you, yourself, and I) If you cant' see all the scripture quoted that shown that Fire is a type of intense judgement of God, then you have very little spiritual understanding of scripture. And your constant taking out of context the scriptures about the sheep and goats being nations only show you ignorance of what that scripture really says. Change it to meet you theology is foolish.
I think you the one who should reread it Nick, i know what it says do you?

Here it is again
You see judgement is one of the foundation truths of Heb 6 and that judgement is not some form of cleansing for the saved or purgatory fire but destruction.
Rev20
11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
But you will find fault with scripture I guess.
January 6, 2009 at 5:51 pm#116812GeneBalthropParticipantNick………..and again you take it out of context to fit your interpretations why do you leave off the first part of What Jesus said showing who the Sheep and GOATS were , please tell us why you leave that off. Because it doesn't serve (YOUR) purpose Nick?
“for when the son of man comes he shall separate the (NATIONS) as a Shepard separates His sheep from the goats”. Lets not leave that part out Nick. This is a prime example why a Novice shouldn't teach.

So the nations are not made up of people?January 6, 2009 at 6:10 pm#116817NickHassanParticipantGB,
I do not mind being thought of as a novice by you if maturity causes some to discard the rod and staff.January 12, 2009 at 8:07 pm#117354NickHassanParticipantCO,
There is a gospel to preach.2Cor11
1Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.2For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
3But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
January 12, 2009 at 10:00 pm#117392davidParticipantROMANS 10:13-15
“For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”* However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? HOW, IN TURN, WILL THEY HEAR, WITHOUT SOMEONE TO PREACH? How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth? Just as it is written: “How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!”” (*compare Joel 2:32)Apparently, we are to preach “good news of good things.”
January 12, 2009 at 10:05 pm#117393NickHassanParticipantHi david,
