January 1, 2019 at 3:24 pm#842299TruthcomberParticipantHi Nick:
You: Several times God declared that Jesus Christ was His Son.
Why would you imagine that Jesus became His Son every time men were told?Me: I did not say Yasha became the son of God every time he was declared to be. I said Yasha was declared or acknowledged to be the son of God after he was brought into the world as the son of God.
Quote from me: THIS PAGE, JANUARY 1, 2019 AT 11:18 AM
“Do these two verses mean that the Messiah got baptized twice and received the holy spirit twice, once at Jordan and once on the high mountain? Of course not!”You: Baptism is just symbolic?
Me: Baptism is in the passages here symbolically represent power of the holy spirit in reference to Luke 1:35 Matt 3:16 pertaining to the Messiah and John 20:22 and Luke 24:49 pertaining to the apostles.
So I will revise my original statement just for you:
From: “Baptism was symbolic of receiving the power of the holy spirit, not initially receiving the holy spirit.
To: Baptism was symbolic “HERE” of receiving the power of the holy spirit, not initially receiving the holy spirit. You: No it is a plea to God for a clean conscience.1peter 3 It is asking God for forgiveness..Acts 2
What is important to God becomes mere throwaway symbolism in the minds of wayward men.Me: We are addressing “HERE”. When we repent and are baptized in the holy spirit with the humanity of Christ in it, we receive power.

You use scripture to support your odd theories.
Not the right approach, in fact the reverse.
Jn 17.17
Sanctfy them in the truth; Thy Word is truth.
January 2, 2019 at 8:18 am#842319NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
Note the priorities of God.
Philip baptised the Eunuch in water and not the Spirit.
He never laid hands on anyone to impart the Spirit, but left that to his brothers.
Once men have obeyed the command to submit to water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ
then God will bless those that seek the blessing of the Spirit.
Lk 11.13
If you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those that ask Him?
January 2, 2019 at 9:24 am#842324NickHassanParticipantHi Anthony,
Why are you more interested in labels than in finding the truth?
January 2, 2019 at 11:42 am#842333GeneBalthropParticipantTC…..you say the MESSIAHS SPIRIT, as if the Anointing came from Jesus himself. THAT IS A FALSE STATEMENT, Jesus’ spirit he was born with, is not the Spirit he recieved from God, as the anointing spirit ( OF) GOD, IS THE SPIRIT OF GOD, WHICH CAME TO DWELL IN JESUS, after he was baptized and Anointed with that Spirit.
No anointing with the Spirit of God makes you that Spirit you are anointed with, if that were true as you assume then that would be robbing God of his Glory. , it doesn’t make the person anointed with it A GOD EITHER. THAT IS FALSE CHRISTANITY’S biggest mistake. They believe Jesus is the christo’s himself THAT HE RECIEVED, and they therefore worship him AS A GOD.
You say I deginate Jesus prove it? You still glory from GOD THE FATHER and give it to Jesus. So you deginate GOD . WE BOW our knee to Jesus, TO THE GLORY OF GOD, therein lies the difference , between you and I , AS FAR as me understanding JESUS was ACTUALLY FATHERED BY GOD HIMSELF IN MARY, I KNEW THAT many, many, many, years ago.
I have always said here , and every where else, Jesus was an ordinary human being, who GOD THE FATHER “santified” and gave him the fullness his SPIRIT “after” THE BAPTIZED BY JOHN AT THE JORDAN RIVER. That is when the word who is God came to be in him, just as he said. But because the word who is God who is spirit came to dwelled in Jesus never made him a God. No more then when we recieved the Spirit of God into us makes us a GOD EITHER.
Peace and love to you and yours. ……..gene

Me: For the thousandth time: The only spirit in the end is the holy spirit. The Word is the express image of God. He did not have any other spirit but the holy Spirit. He is the beginning and end.
Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him (G846 himself) we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself (G846); by him , I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Eph 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1 Cor 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.Me: After Christ reconcile all things to himself, all will have one spirit, the holy spirit. If you cannot now say that the Messiah is Lord and bow down to him in worship, you do not have the spirit of God in you.

Modern adoptionist groups[edit]A form of adoptionism surfaced in Unitarianism during the 18th century as denial of the virgin birth became increasingly common, led by the views of Joseph Priestley and others.
A similar form of adoptionism was expressed in the writings of James Strang, a Latter Day Saint leader who founded the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Strangite) after the death of Joseph Smith in 1844. In his Book of the Law of the Lord, a purported work of ancient scripture found and translated by Strang, he offers an essay entitled “Note on the Sacrifice of Christ” in which he explains his unique (for Mormonism as a whole) doctrines on the subject. Jesus Christ, said Strang, was the natural-born son of Mary and Joseph, who was chosen from before all time to be the Savior of mankind, but who had to be born as an ordinary mortal of two human parents (rather than being begotten by the Father or the Holy Spirit) to be able to truly fulfill his Messianic role.[11] Strang claimed that the earthly Christ was in essence “adopted” as God’s son at birth, and fully revealed as such during the Transfiguration.[12] After proving himself to God by living a perfectly sinless life, he was enabled to provide an acceptable sacrifice for the sins of men, prior to his resurrection and ascension.[13]
https://beliefmap.org/mormonism/mormonism-teaches-god-is-physicalMe: Mormonism teaches: God is made of flesh and bone
“According to Mormonism, God is an exalted man with body parts, who was originally a human on another planet. Even now, he is comprised of flesh and bone, with eyes, ears, feet etc.

• “The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s;” [Doctrines and Covenants 130:22]
• “we know that both the Father and the Son are in form and stature perfect men; each of them possesses a tangible body … of flesh and bones,”Me: You seid you studied with the Mormons. You brought over their heresies.

Quote:
“Gnostic flair
So theories and lies about how Jesus was just an ordinary human being, and not God in the flesh, began to circulate immediately after He was resurrected. It is no wonder, then, that the first century gnostics would add their own flair to Jesus being a nobody—just another human being. Maybe He was a nice person—maybe a teacher of good things—but in their way of thinking, He was just another human being or just a vision. Their teachings could not conceive of God actually coming in the flesh.
While many today would protest that those behind the modern media efforts to discredit the divinity of Jesus Christ are not gnostic by religious persuasion, the method of discrediting Jesus is the same—to claim secret knowledge about Jesus being only human and not our divine Savior.”http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/06592a.htm
January 2, 2019 at 9:05 pm#842347NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
The Indwelling Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead.
That Spirit never left him, but he gave up his spirit at Calvary.
He is a man just like us who had a human spirit just as all men do.
Get it right.

January 2, 2019 at 9:45 pm#842350NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
The powers that are at work in the sons of disobedience do not include the giving of life.
Again your Gnostic nonsense rears it’s ugly head.
January 2, 2019 at 10:27 pm#842352TruthcomberParticipantHi Nick,
You: The Indwelling Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead.
That Spirit never left him, but he gave up his spirit at Calvary.Me: Nope. I just showed it to you. He gave up the holy spirit which was his only spirit. The son of God never had the spirit of the world in him. I showed you that also.
John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I WILL RAISE IT UP. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
Me: How did Christ raise himself up from the dead if he was totally dead. His humanity was dead, not the Word of God in him.
So, now tell me, what does John 2:19-22 mean to you. What does John 1:14 below mean to you?
John 1:14 And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Tell me what this means to you!

You: If Jesus Christ was GOD IN THE FLESH then our saviour, the Son of God, did not exist.Me: Your statement is one of stupidity’s greatest moments. You will win an Oscar for this.
1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 4 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Me: The spirit that guides you is not the holy spirit but the spirit of the world.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Me: The Word is the exact expression of God and therefore is God. The Word was God.
You: Such nonsense is the fruit of ignorant minds.

Me: Gene, every knee shall bow, not just one knee as was done for earthly kings and dignitaries. We bow on both knees to our Master and God (When we glorify the son, we glorify the Father. Read I Gene. I just posted it. Can you not see?
John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him (Christ), My Lord and my God.
Me: No rebuke from the Messiah.
January 3, 2019 at 4:01 am#842357GeneBalthropParticipantTC…..Simply question for you, what does the first commandment say? Read it and study it, and see where you stand.
Have you created another God? Have you changed the “IMAGE” OF the “MAN” Jesus into a GOD?, that makes you an IDOLATER. WHY because you have another God “the man JESUS, who said he was a man and a son of man, over 100 times, even saying “When the SON OF MAN RETURNS”, that who we are looking for, but you on the other hand are looking for A GOD TO RETURN. Seem Jesus dosen’t SHARE SAME BELIFS.
We Have a God and it the same God Jesus has, he is our Father and also jesus’ Father.
What you have done with the “IMAGE” of Jesus, is turn him INTO A GOD, AND YOU WORSHIP HIM AS SUCH. Your FALSE “IMAGE” of him also turns HIM into the “MAN” of Sin mentioned in, 2THS 2, read it and see how much your teaching aline with your teaching the man Jesus being a God.
We believe Jesus, when he said , ” Father that they might know you, THE “ONLY” TRUE GOD, and Jesus whom you sent”. Seems Jesus didn’t think he was a God did he? We believe God was “IN” JESUS, BY THE ANOINTING SPIRIT GIVEN HIM, the same spirit that is in all true believer, but none of that makes Jesus or us a GOD.
You say you believe JESUS CAME IN THE FLESH, then SAY HE WAS A GOD. but what does God say, ” for God is (NOT) a man that he should lie, ( NOR) a SON OF MAN, that he should repent” . Jesus called himself a son of man over 60 times in scriptures, seems you have a problem to work on.
Peace and love to you and yours. ………gene
