I appreciate the honest answer.The Quran states:
Surat Taha/20
25 (Moses) said: “O my Lord! expand me my breast;
26 “Ease my task for me;
27 “And remove the impediment from my speech,
28 “So they may understand what I say:
29 “And give me a Minister from my family,
30 “Aaron, my brother;
31 “Add to my strength through him,
32 “And make him share my task:
33 “That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint,
34 “And remember Thee without stint:
35 “For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us.”
36 (Allah) said: “Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!”
Can we prove this prayer was answered in the Bible? If the Bible can prove the Quran to be true will you accept the Quran as the word of God or will you simply “wink at it?”

Hi BD,Once again the 'book of fraud' seems to say the opposite of
the “Book of Truth”, which is: it was YHVH's idea to also send Arron, not Moses'.“[YHVH said to Moses], Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well.
And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.
And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth,
and will teach you what ye shall do. And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be,
even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God. And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand,
wherewith thou shalt do signs.” (Ex 4:14-17)This is nothing to wink at, it proves that 'the quran' is at odds with “The Bible”!

Really? Moses gave 4 Major speeches before his death there was no sign of a speech impediment and Aaron was not speaking for Moses but was helping Moses with the people.Who spokto the Pharoah?
June 7, 2013 at 1:46 am#346671mikeboll64BlockedBoth Moses and Aaron spoke to Pharaoh. But Ed is right on this one, Asana. Moses was whining because of his speech impediment, and GOD (not Moses) came up with the solution of sending Aaron along with him as his “mouth”.
The Midrash relates an interesting tradition: Moses was an exceedingly handsome baby; whoever saw him could not take their eyes off him. Pharaoh would kiss and hug [Moses], and [Moses] would remove the crown from [Pharaoh’s] head and place it on his own—much as he was destined to do in the future…
The Egyptian sorcerers were present [when Moses donned Pharaoh’s crown] and they said, “We are concerned that this [child] who is removing your crown and placing it on his head shouldn’t be the one whom we have foretold will seize the reins of monarchy from you.”
Some of them were advising to behead him; others advised to burn him. Jethro [Moses’ future father-in-law] was sitting among the advisors. He argued that the child had no intelligence [and no omen should be associated with his harmless child’s-play with the crown].
“Test him,” he said. “Bring in front of him a plate of gold and glowing coals. If he reaches for the gold, that is a sign that he has intelligence, and we will execute him. If, however, he reaches for the [bright and glowing] coals, then he is without intelligence, and is not deserving if death.”
They brought [the plate] in front of [Moses], and he immediately reached for the gold. The angel Gabriel came and pushed his hand, and he grabbed the coal. [As is the nature of children,] he [instinctively] shoved his hand – together with the coal – into his mouth, and his tongue was burnt.
From this Moses became “heavy of mouth and heavy of tongue.”
I have read this story somewhere before – I believe in one of the books of Enoch. In that version, Balaam, son of Beor, was one of those at the table urging that Moses be executed.

June 8, 2013 at 4:09 pm#346955carmelParticipantQuote will you accept the Quran as the word of God BD,
It is quite clear from scriptures, that Moses was talking to the god of the world! NOT TO ALLAH!
I accept what the Quran states regarding Moses asked God TO GIVE HIM ARON!
But I also accept, and believe what our bible states, for the simple reason that our bible, which was written by Moses, demonstrates
THAT IN THAT MOMENT IN TIME, MOSES,WITHOUT BEING AWARE OF IT, THROUGH HIS INSISTENCE PUSHED god TO SUGGEST ARON!
So the BIBLE STATES WHAT THE TRUE GOD, (ALLAH) WAS DOING HIDDEN WITHIN MOSES,PUSHING god OF THE WORLD to do the opposite of what he was intended to do!
and the Quran revealed the truth OBVIOUS which was actually hidden, NOT QUITE EVIDENT
FROM THE OTHER HAND OUR BIBLE WAS THE ACTUAL TRUTH FROM THE ACTION POINT OF VIEW. THE WAY WHICH ACTUALLY HAPPENED
I HOPE I AM CLEAR ENOUGH!
THE god THAT SPOKE TO MOSES WAS THE FATHER OF LIES, AND ONE ONLY HAVE TO REFLECT ON HIS WORDS TO BE AWARE OF IT!

Why did the make a golden calf?
Moses was are former of the previous traditions, rituals, laws and beliefs of the slaves that he lead out of Egypt. Idolatry was one of their practices, that's why he added the prohibition against idol making into the previous commandments.Colter

I agree with Ed. Is there scriptural evidence of Moses being cured? The fact that he was self conscious about his speech problem would not prohibit him from speaking at all.Perhaps he was afraid to address the hierarchy of Egypt with a speech impediment for fear they would laugh him out of the palace – or not take him seriously.
Obviously, as time (and the plagues) went on, Moses gained a lot of confidence. He realized that it wasn't about him, or the way he talked, but about the fact that God was with him.
That kind of revelation would give anyone a whole lot of confidence they formerly lacked.
